It kept echoing in my head and I would have done anything to just dissappear that exact second

When I finally gathered the voice to speak i muttered a low oh and looked up to find Sam's face still in her hand

" Wait that didn't come out right! I didn't mean no as in no i will not be your girlfriend i meant no as in fuck me i was planning on asking her that . I had this whole plan in my head on how to ask you out and make it romantic and all, and you had to ruin it by asking me first- wait i dont mean ruin it like you ruined it i mean that like you ruined my plan and- damn I'm rambling- what I'm trying to day is yes I'll be your girlfriend " Sam said slightly out of breath and to be honest I was very confused by her rant

But I think I've heard " yes I'll be your girlfriend" Somewhere in there

"So it's a yes?" I asked in a confused voice

" are you kidding me? It's definitely a yes dude" She said and I couldn't stop the face eating grin that conquered my face. I leaned in to capture her lips in mine and I couldnot help but smile against her lips aswell

" told you I should start hanging out with you more often" Came a manly voice. I reluctantly pulled back from Sam to find max standing at the door with an excited look on his face

" oh no please, continue, I'm just going to sit her being very quiet, you won't even know I'm here"he said with a dismissing hand wave

" quit it you pervert" Sam said

" aside from me being sad that I didnt get much of a show,I'm so happy you're okay dickhead" Max said with that grin of his and came closer to hug Sam then ruffle her hair

" oh its nothing man, " Sam said dismissing the subject

" i cannot even tell you how proud of you I am right now, even though we are in trouble for the guns we actually taught that asshole a lesson"

" oh enough with the sappy stuff max, I need to get out of here"

" absolutely not, you need to rest"

" you know what I need? I need a cigarette"

Two weeks later

Lauren's POV

" I cant believe we are actually going on a double date together" I said looking at myself in the mirror

Sofie and Sam got released from the hospital 5 days after Sam's surgery. We decided to give them sometime to heal but Max asked Sofie out and Sam and I decided to tag along

Sam and I have been together for two weeks and it has been absolutely magical. She still lived with Sofie so we were basically always together. Underneath all that tough exterior Sam is an absolute teddy bear inside, Thats what i've come to learn. And honestly with everyday that passes by I find myself falling for her a little more

" I cant believe things are actually turning out this way" Sofie said with a dreamy look sitting on her bed

" oh look who is acting all In love now" I teased

" I am not acting in love, but do you think this is a good thing? I mean Max seems like a great guy and trust me I like him, alot, but thats how it started with jared too" sofie said, now looking at me with a worried expression

I know it must be hard for her to get involved with someone so fast after all that happened with jared. But honestly I have a feeling that Max is not at all like jared

" come on, dont let what happened with jared scare you away from all guys, plus I trust Max. its obvious that he knows how to treat a girl, plus nobody knows Max like Sam does, and you know how protective she is, she would have never let anything happen between you and Max if she wasnt one hundred percent sure that he would treat you right" I said trying to get my point across, and I got a sigh out of sofie

" you're right. Whats taking them so long anyways? " Sofie said taking a glance onto her phone

" Sam said she had already picked Max up and they were on their way" I told sofie what Sam told me in her text 10 minutes ago. Then as if on cue the doorbell rang and I felt my heart running laps. I looked at sofie to find her smiling like an idiot. A second passed and before I new it Sofie was racing me downstairs

The door came into view just as Sofie was straightening her baby pink sundress and opening the door

Then Sam came into view wearing black skinny jeans, a red polo shirt underneath her black leather jacket, with a black beanie. She looked Extra nice today, Which made my heart beat in my chest

She approached me bringing her hand into view from behind her back and I noticed the bouquet of flowers her hands held

" how did you know I loved roses" I asked unable to contain my smile

" your bestfriend is my sister" She said with a smirk " I hope you like them" She added in a softer tone

" I love them"i said taking them from her hands and sniffing the roses

" you guys ready to have a kick-ass date?" Max said wrapping his arm around a blushing Sofie

" Heck yeah" I said nodding and we headed towards the Car

I know I took too long to update. I am very sorry but I have a job that is ruining my life

Anyway I think this is going to be the second last chapter because im already working on a sequel of Alone in newyork and I want that to be good so its taking almost all my free time
