Where did my twin go?

Police.

Lauren's POV

"I know that this is hard for you but we do need details if you plan on pressing charges, that boy raped you and shot another girl. He must get what he deserves so i dont want you to feel afraid or bad for him. If you talk right now he will be dealt with. And he will not be able to ever harm you again Because even though he is still a junior he will be 18 in a month. And if he goes into  court after a month the judge will place a punishment on him as an adult. So you really should speak up sofia" the police officer spoke professionally but she was still being sympathetic. In hopes of convincing sofie of speaking up with everything that Jared did to her.

After we arrived at the hospital and Sam got into surgery we all kind of focused on her and forgot to check on Jared and Becca, who had absolutely no family members or friends come check on her by the way. But after Jared had the Bullet removed from his leg the police showed up and said that he was not allowed to get out of his room until they finish the investigation. They asked Max a couple of questions when I was asleep and max told them the whole truth. From the moment we caught Jared with Sofie on the car to the moments the paramedics arrived.

The police said that Max would not get in much trouble since he shot Jared out of self defense. However he is going to get in trouble for having a gun with no permit.

Sofie took a deep breath after the police officer finished talking and got ready to tell the story. Which had us all intrigued because none of us really knew what the story with Jared was. Or how the abuse started

" four months ago Jared and I started dating. He was fine the first month but then he started getting very pissed about weird things. And started trying to get me to do -intimate - things with him. The first time I refused he slapped me. And then he told me how if i broke up with him he would make my life a living hell and make everyone think I was a slut. When I told him that He couldnot do anything and insisted on breaking up with him he started threatening me that he had naked photos that he took of me that time I fell asleep when we were hanging out at his house. I never really knew why I fell asleep that night all of a sudden, but then later i found out that he drugged me. After I found out about the photos I started really getting scared of him. Two weeks after that he started forcing me into having sex with him. No matter how many times I begged him to stop. It went on like that for the past three months. Him forcing me into things and hurting me when I started refusing, yelling or crying. Then came the day when Sam and Lauren found me. We were supposed to be watching a movie with the rest of our friends that day. Then he told me that he had to talk to me about something so I followed him outside and he ordered me to get in the car because he had a surprise for me. I was too afraid to refuse because if he had hit me then one of my friends might have found out. So i just followed and he started driving till we got to that road. He did what he always did when we got time alone and I just stayed there crying silently because I didn't want to get hit too. Because that day he was over aggressive and I was already feeling enough pain as it is.  Then when he was done he started dressing me like i was a barbie doll. And I didn't recuperate what so ever. So he told me that as punishment because I didn't " pleasure" him properly. He was going to do it again. He started undressing me again but sam showed up before he went through with it." By now the whole room was in tears. Expect for the officers ofcourse,

None of us ever knew what exactly happened to her in detail.  But hearing that your daughter slash sister slash bestfriend had to go through all that had us all very devastated.

" did you ever see the photos he threated you with?"

" i have, that very first time I tried to break up with him he made it a point to show me those photos so i would know that he's not messing around. I later found out that the night he took the photos was also the night when he first, you know" Sofie said wiping some tears from her eyes

" that right there is enough to land him in jail for a very decent amount of time" the girl officer said to the other guy, who only nodded and started getting up

" thank you so much for your time and honesty. That's all we need. We will have to ask Samantha a couple of questions as well once she wakes up. But I want you to know that we will do our best to have Jared get the punishment he deserves. Although I know that nothing could be enough considering what you'be been through sofia. I'm really sorry and we promise he is going to get what he deserves" The officer said with an apologetic expression

" Thank you officer" Sofie said with a sniff and a small smile. once both the officers were out of the room an angry " Fucking son of a bitch" was heard

Our eyes darted back to the source of the voice, which was Dave to find his face red with anger

" how could that little twat rape my baby girl? I'm going to rip his head of" Dave said and in a second he was racing  to the door

I stood there frozen while Max rushed to block the door and Sarah tried holding Dave back

" Dad it's okay the police are dealing with it" Sofie said while trying to get out of bed

" Dave we have to think rationally" Sarah said rubbing dave's back

" Screw thinking rationally. That asshole hurt my baby girl! Can you believe that our baby was actually hurt in such a gruesome way?  Just thinking of it makes me want to torture him in so many different ways" Dave said his voice cracking in the very end

It was extremely hard watching someone as strong as Dave on the verge of breaking down. He has always been so collected and rational. It's horrible seeing someone like that look so hurt and weak

" i know honey. But we have to let the police handle it. Sam already shot him and look where she is right now. We have to stay strong for our daughters" Sarah was speaking softly into dave's ears trying to calm him down. And it was working a little. I could see his rage subsiding. To be replaced with a horrible look of pain that was visible on his face.

Everyone heald their breath waiting for Dave's reaction but a knock on the door came and stole our attention

" Mr. And Mrs. Adams, Samantha is awake and the doctor wants you in her room immediately" a nurse said with a look of urgency on her face and urged Sarah and Dave to follow.

Once they were out of the room i felt my heart sink to my feet. by the way the nurse was acting it was obvious that something has gone horribly wrong., when I finally managed to get my feet to move, I rushed after them.
