"Um..Can I, help you..?" I asked, feeling my face get warmer as it got reder. They just stared at me...

"Nope." The smaller one said after a long moment of silence. "Well. The don't stare at me." The tall one smirked. "I can stare at you. I can do anything I want to do." 

It was my trun to make a fool of them. Just as a bunch of girls walked in for class, I commented back at them. "You're going to have to take me out to dinner first, bud." I smirked, and playfully winked at them. "Shut up!" The taller one yelled at there a crumpled peice of paper at me as the girls laughed at my comment.

One came and sat in the seat next to me. "Hey, nice come back." She smiled lightly at me. "Thanks." I leaned back in my seat and tried looking cool. "Joe, right?" "Yeah. How did you know?" "The teacher told us." "Ah. What's your name?" I asked. About to stick out my hand, then I realized people didn't really do that. "I'm Leah." "That's a pretty name." I said, and her cheeks flushed pink. "Thank you."

As we where about to talk more, the bell rang and our teacher stood up.

I walked out to the busses after the final bell had rung. UnfortunatelyI didn't see Joe at all. I walked down the same old sidewalk i walked down everyday. But something was off...

I heard soft voices from behind me. And two pairs of foot steps. Normaly I am alone. Hm..

I looked over my shoulder in a casual way. I hope. It was...

Joe.

And some chick. I decided to stop walking. 

"Hey!" I called, putting on a smile as big as the ':D' emogi. "Joe! Hey bud." They reached me and stopped a few feet before me. "Oh uh, hi." Joe said, putting his hand on the back of his head. I was trying to ignore the girl. Maybe she would go away. "You go this way? Do you live around here?" I gestured around me. "Yeah. I live on Cocktail Dr." "Really? That's epic! I live on the street down the road from it. On MairyWay." "Oh, really? Nice." The girl tugged on Joe's sleeve and whispered, very loudly. "Joe..You know this kid?"

Ouch. That hurt.

"Well uh.." Joe started. Obviously not wanting to hurt anyone. *cough* Me. "Yes." I but in. "I met him this morning. I uh.. Offered to show him around the school." She smiled, a bit..evily at me. "Oh. Sorry. I already did that today." I let my shoulders slack a bit. But no way on earth would I show the hurt on my face. I slightly smiled. "Oh. It's no issue. But hey, if you need anything. We don't live far away!" "No way. As if someone like Joe would hang out with...you."  The girl said smirking.

Hold it in...Zach...No..

I felt my eyes get warm. I turned away quikley. "Zach, wait-" I walked fast down the sidewalk. "Zach!" Joe called. When I heard foot steps, I picked up my pace and practicaly ran. 

To bad I wasn't fast.
