Did I just..? Am I..? Are we..? Is Joe..? Yes.

I couldn't take the anger anymore. I grabbed Joe and pulled his lips to mine. I never expected him to kiss me back. But he did. I slowly released his shirt and slid my hands down his arms. I gently gripped his wrists. Then he grabbed my shoulders, and pushed me away. Breaking the kiss.

I looked back into his eyes. They were swelled with shock and dispare. "Joe I..." I spoke so softly, almost I didn't hear. "We can't speak of this. To any one. Ever. No one can know." He said squarly and harshly. His words drilled into my thoughts. "And it can't happen again." He released me, but for another moment I held his wrists. Never wanting to let him go.

It was obvious he hadn't meant to kiss me back. He hadn't meant to make this happen. He didn't share my feelings. I nodded as I released him. "Can you at least see now that I didn't talk to you because I was told to..?" I asked softly. He nodded. "Y-Yeah...But I don't know if we should hang out as much. I still want to. Just...Not to much. Okay? You, understand, right?" My shoulders slumped a bit, and I perked them back up. Don't show signs of sadness I barked the orders in my head. "Yeah. I got it. So...Are we going to school? If we don't leave now...we'll be late.." He signed, scratched his head, ran a hand threw his hair and nodded. "Yeah. Let's go."

The whole walk, couldn't have been more silent and awkward.

Until Leah showed up.

"Leah!" I said, smiling. Acting like nothing had happened. "Hey!" She said, walking at my pace to my left. I noticed Zach had picked up his pace and walked faster then us to my right. I almost wanted to stop him, to walk with him. But I didn't. Instead, I stayed back with Leah.

"Joe. Why do you hang out with him?" Leah asked, looking up at me with her shimmering blue eyes. Such beautiful eyes...

For a moment, they looked brown..The same brown as Zach's. I shook my head and they went bak to blue. "Joe..? You okay?" "Wha- yeah. I'm fine. I hang out with him because he's um..Fun to be around. He plays the same video games as I do." "Oh, you play videogames?" "Yeah." "Like what?" "CS:GO and Minecraft. The ocasional other. Like Outlast and Among The Sleep." "Oh, that's cool." 

Her face said the opposite. "You know, Leah. I'm not as cool as you may think I am. And I wont stop what i love because you want me to be cool." She looked at me with big eyes. I looked in front of me. Zach found a new pace, and was walking steady in front of us. I had my hands in my jean pockets. "I wont make you change. Because Joe...I...I really like you." I looked at her. Deep in her eyes. Then I stopped.

She lightly put her hand on my face.

She stood on her toes to reach me face.

Then she kissed me. For a moment, I did kiss back. Then, from the corner of my eye, I saw Zach stop walking and look back at us. I saw his posture slack. And he turned and ran.

Frick.

"L-Leah.." I said, stopping the kiss. "What is it?" "I..I can't do this. Not with you. I-I'm sorry. I..don't like you that way." Her cheeks turned pink. Almost red. "O-Oh.." "I hope we can still be friends..." "Y-Yeah...Sure." "Okay well..I have to go." "Wha-" I turned and ran after Zach.

Again.
