~Tofuu~

"I'm uh, sorry." I said to Leah. "Thanks for walking with me." I smiled at her. "Yeah..See ya tomorrow." She turned away as I ran after Zach. Holy crap he was slow. I cought up to him in no time. I grabbed his shoulder and yanked him to a stop. "Let me go!" He yelled out. "Oh, shush up." I turned him around, and a few of his appers flew out and landed on the ground. "Ah! See what you've done?" He said, avoiding eye contact. "Hey." I said lightly. Forcing him to look at me with my hand under his chin. "You're...crying?" He had thin lines of tears running down his pinkened cheeks. His glimmering brown eyes wet with tears. He tried turning away but I held his face in my hand where it was. "Let me...go.." He whispered softly. As if..he didn't want to be let go of. But I released him. "She didn't mean what she sai-" "Yes she did." he said, bending down to pick up the papers that where dropped. "And I know it, because I know her." My eyes doubled in size. "You, what?" He stood and looked into my eyes. He wasn't much shorter then I was. "I know people like her, would be better wording. I suppose." "'People like her'? What does that mean?" He chuckled lightly. "Popular. They hate kids like me. Some call 'Lame'."

...

"And you think so too. Even after I was kind to you." I cought on my breath, and my eyes grew larger. How did he..?

"I don't think you're lame." He laughed at me. "Yeah ya' do." I suddenly got a bit angry. "I am wasting my chance at popularity talking to you! I could have staryed with Leah but I came after you!" He laughed again, but lighter. And looked at his feet. He spoke lightly. "Exactly.." I drew back a step. "Wh-what?" He looked up at me. "I know you don't want to be friends with me. So don't tease me. I don't like being made a fool. Be my friend, don't be my friend." He kicked at a small rock. "I honestly don't care..." He mumbled that last part.

"Zach. How many friends do you have?" I asked, breaking the silence. "None. But I bet you guest it. What now? You won a bet by asking me and now you get five bucks? That's what it was last week." I was really shocked. Honestly. People bet on things like that..? I am starting to miss my little desk where my family would teach me..

"No. I didn't even know people did that..Sorry, Zach. That must suck." "Yeah. A bit." He whipped at his cheek. "Hey...look. I'm sorry about...treating you like a geek. Or a...a lame person. If you want, you can come over tonight." He lughted again lightly. "I don't want your pity, Joe. Wanna be popular and go to party and get shit-faced drunk? Go ahead. Instead i'll sit at home and watch Videos on YouTube." "YouTube?" I asked. "Yeah." "I love YouTube." "What ever..." "No, really!" He sighed, then smiled at me. "Yeah. I'll come over if you really want me to." I smiled at him. "Yes. I really do."

I couldn't believe I was being such a terrible person to Zach. I realize now, that he is pretty cool.

He came over to my house a few hours after school. We watched a lot of YouTube and TV. He gave me his Skype and when he went home he called me.

We played Minecraft and CS:GO for a few hours, until my mom said it was time for dinner.

"I have to go, Zach. See you tomorrow." "Bye. hey, wanna walk to school together?" I smiled. "yeah. Meet you out side my place at 7." "Okay." "Bye." "Bye."

Once I hung up the call, my heart felt warm and...fuzzy
