Ben and Mal walked out onto the balcony and Carlos squeezed my hand.

"Lady Mal and I want to thank you for celebrating our engagement with us today, I couldn't be prouder or happier to call you my queen. So raise your glasses, to the Queen of Auradon!" Ben said to the crowd

Everyone raised their glasses. "To the Queen of Auradon!"

"Speech, your Specialness." Carlos said while holding up his glass with his pinkie out. I giggled and kissed him on the cheek.

"Speech, oh, Fancy One!" Jay said, raising his glass as well.

Mal hesitated and locked eyes with me in the crowd before saying, "I can't. I can't be Queen of Auradon." Everyone gasped and Ben looked at her. "Mal?"

"I can't turn my back on the Isle." She looked back to us. "We made a decision, to close the barrier forever. And it was my idea, but it's wrong. I've learned that you can't live in fear because it actually doesn't protect you from anything. You never know where the bad is gonna come from and you never know where the good is gonna come from either. Without Uma and her pirates, Auradon would be gone and without Hades, my father, Audrey would be gone, too. We are all capable of good and bad, no matter which side of the barrier we come from."

"That's why I can't be queen of just Auradon. I have to be queen of the Isle, too." Mal said as she looked at Ben. She looked at me again and I nodded and gave a small smile. She smiled back. "It's time we take down the barrier for good!"

"We can't do that." Adam said.
"It's up to us, dad. I choose to be a leader who moves forward. It's time for forgiveness. It's time for new beginnings. The barrier will come down!"

Me, Carlos, Jay, and, Evie made our way up to them. "Best decision you've ever made, Mally." I told her as I put my around around her shoulders. She laughed, "I know, trust me," and held up Fairy Godmother's wand.
