Pia POV

We waited for three hours. And then they finally arrived. They got out of the car one by one and the shift in power was palpable.

Misha walked at the front, Kartik by her side, Jay and Neel walked a pace behind her.

I stared straight into her eyes and she stopped walking.

"This is bad." Kartik said placing a hand infront of her.

"Pia," Jay said cautiously, I didn't look away from her eyes. "You don't want to do this," he warned "submit."

I finally looked away and met his eyes. "Do what?" I asked.

"You were challenging her." He said, "let's talk somewhere private." He said and we nodded. "I'll fill them in on the way, see you at the Raichand mansion." He said and walked towards us he handed me the bottle, it was full. My eyes shot towards Misha and she looked away.

"What happened?" I demanded once we were on the road.

"We were too late," he said. "By the time I got their she was too beat up, it was almost over but she somehow transformed and ended up killing him. It was the shock that did him in."

"What!" Was the only thing Kabir and I could come up with.

"Her wolf is strong, even though your father didn't have one. She sensed the fear and pain and broke out."

"I have been in plenty situations." I said, "how come mine didn't break out?"

"Genetics makes sure you don't go crazy or shit your pants during the first transformation." He said lying down on the back seat, his knees bent.

"Shoes off." I said and he rolled his eyes but took his shoes off.

"So even if you have a wolf gene, you need to be around an experienced wolf to transform."

I let that sink in.

"How was i challenging her?"

"Four wolves is quite a number." He answered scrunching his brows. "Your wolf is strong too which is why it tried to challange Misha for the title, we'll have to keep our distance from you now or it will be trouble."

"I can't talk to Misha?" I asked my eyes wide.

"You can, just more on calls than in real life, atleast, till you are human. If you change to wolf you'll have to pick another pack or kill Misha. And Kartik."

"I don't want to fight my own sister." I deadpanned. "Wait why Kartik?

"Some of them weren't happy with an outsider winning the challenge so they decided to challange her, an elder told them to fuck off and proposed marriage to shut them up, you both are invited."

Kabir stopped the car, we were at the mansion.

I walked in the building, dazed.

"What happened?" Panchi demanded.

"Misha is getting married." I said and Siddharth and Abhay spat out their drinks. Worry left her face and disbelief set in.

"What?"

"Yes i am getting married." She snapped from the door, "why is it such a surprise?"

"Who's the poor guy?" Siddharth asked and I glared at him, his smirk disappeared.

"Me." Kartik said glumly and misha kicked his foot.

"How did this happen?" Panchi asked and we filled her in.

"I just realised I love having a defective gene." Panchi said meaning it. "But you have to keep coming back misha, Dad just passed away, if you disappear, mom won't be able to take it."
