   ANGEL'S POV

  Ever had to just throw in the towel and say enough was enough? That's what I had to do with my previous relationship. Let's just say the father of my daughter, Minnie, wasn't good at his title. I ended up leaving him. I couldn't just leave like that, but eventually, I became free of him. Me and Minnie did. When I met Dom, everything changed. Dom and I both shared a love of cars and that was how we met.

  It had been two years, since Dom and I first started seeing each other. Minnie and I stayed with Dom, who grew very fond of Minnie. Minnie and Dom would stay up for hours together, just talking about the latest model of cars and their engines. It wasn't your typical kind of bond, but it was how they bonded. I was grateful for that.
  Speaking of being grateful, I was grateful it was finally time to eat. Dom and I held a barbecue for the team and Minnie set up the table with Letty and Roman. Minnie seemed to be drained today, but maybe it was from her classes today. Roman made sure to make Minnie smile and laugh, as to which I immediately thanked him for.

  Dom came up behind me and placed a kiss on my cheek before I placed the food in the middle of the table.

  When everyone took their seats, Minnie leaned over and asked Letty,"Aunt Letty, do you think Dom will be my father?"

  Letty smiled over at me, yet Dom did not hear what Minnie said. He just placed a kiss on my knuckles and made sure everyone was ready for grace.

  Letty whispered to Minnie,"I think so."

  Minnie smiled real big and took Letty and Roman's hands before Letty led us into the grace. When she finished, everyone dug in and we enjoyed spending time with our big family.

  However, Dom wanted to take a trip to the beach. It was late out, but it wouldn't hurt to take a much-needed trip to the beach.

  Minnie immediately ran for the water and I yelled,"DON'T GO OUT TOO FAR, YOUNG LADY!"

  Dom laughed and made me look at him.

  He said,"You have no idea how happy you make me. Angel, I know we've only been together for two years, but I'm not ready for this to end. I love Minnie. I love you. I want you both to be a part of my life forever. I will do my best to be here for you each and every day. Do you trust me?"

  I nodded and Dom took my hands, getting down on one knee. I gasped and placed my hand over my mouth.

  Tears poured down my face and Dom asked me,"Angel Ortiz, will you marry me?"

  I yelled,"YES! YES! YES!"

  Dom got up and slid the ring onto my finger before he kissed me passionately. Our kiss was broken up by Minnie pulling Dom in for a hug. I smiled and let her hug Dom, who pulled me in for the hug too.

  Minnie had tears falling down her face and said,"We're..We're going to be a real family now."

  I said,"We already were, honey. We already were."
