   Y/N'S POV

  After my car decided to break down on me, I called Luke Hobbs. We weren't even on the phone for five minutes before he told me he was on his way. As I waited for Hobbs, I listened to music and tried to distract myself from the news I received yesterday.
  There was a knock on my driver's side window and I let it down.

  Hobbs sent me a smile and said,"Hey, Y/N. You plannin' on sitting here all day?"

  I chuckled and replied,"No, no way. Thanks for coming to my rescue, Luke. I appreciate it."

  He nodded and grabbed my things before he used his car to pull my own. I climbed up and sat in the passenger seat, closing the door behind me.
  Luke smiled and pulled off. My stomach growled and I blushed in embarrassment.

  I asked him,"Do you mind stopping?"

  He shook his head and laughed saying,"No, I don't, little lady. Where to?"

  I just chose somewhere cheap, because I wanted to save my money. Luke sat down beside me and we ordered our food.
  When our food finally came, I dug into my meal and looked up to see Hobbs gazing at me.

  I slowly swallowed my burger and said,"S..Sorry. I'm really hungry."

  He shook his head and said,"It's fine, Y/N. You weren't going to tell me about your father being sick?"

  I put my burger down and looked him in the eyes saying,"I didn't know how to, Hobbs. I know he is important to you, too, but I don't even think it's hit me yet."

  He took my hands and replied,"That is exactly why you're not going home alone. You tend to do horrible things when you lose someone. I'm not going to let you throw your life away. You've been doing so well lately."

  I looked down at our hands and back up at him saying,"I wasn't planning on doing anything stupid, but I'm not going to stop you from watching over me. I'm thankful for you, Luke. I mean it."

  Luke smiled warmly at me and leaned in slowly. I did the same and kissed him softly. He kissed back and moved my hair out of my face.
 
  When we pulled away, I blushed madly and said,"Whoa. That was my first kiss."

  He chuckled, but then he realized I was being serious.

  He said,"I'm glad I was your first kiss then. Don't worry. I'm sure your father will be all right. I'll be there for you. Whatever you need."

  He kissed my forehead and we ate together in a comfortable silence. I was completely scared for my father's fate, but I was glad I had a man like Hobbs who was there to help me get through this.
