   Y/N'S POV

  I really wanted Roman to stop stealing food from my plate that I had fixed for myself, but I couldn't knock his plate over in the middle of this barbecue that The O'Conner's had planned for our large yet unique family for months now.
 
  Brian noticed the look on my face and said to Roman,"Rome, come on, stop. You're going to make Y/N leave."

  Roman looked over at me and gently pulled my face closer to his face. He kissed my cheek and held on for a minute.

  I couldn't help but smile and brought my hand up to Roman's face, before Roman said,"I'm sorry, Y/N. You can have my plate. You know I just like bothering you. I love you."

  I said,"I forgive you, Rome. No, keep your plate. I love you, too."

  Roman smiled and pulled my chair closer to his chair. Brian smiled at us, then Dom motioned to the plate of meat in front of me.

  I blushed in embarrassment saying,"Sorry, Dom. I forgot already. Here you go."

  Dom squeezed my shoulder saying,"It's okay, Y/N."

  Letty said,"She was too busy worrying about Roman."

  Roman intertwined his fingers with my fingers saying,"Letty, don't get Y/N started. I don't want to hear her yelling again for the rest of the day."

  Mia nudged me and kept a bug from falling into my plate.

  I said,"Thank you for saving my life, Mia. That could've been really ugly for anyone around me."

  Mia laughed saying,"No problem, Y/N."

  Tej asked me,"Y/N, what made you choose Roman out of anyone else you could've possibly chosen?"

  Roman made a face at Tej and said,"Really, Tej? Will you be quiet and eat your food?"

  I looked at Tej saying,"I don't know, Tej, to answer your question honestly. Roman just stood out to me in his own Roman Pearce way."

  Tej chuckled saying,"That's it?"

  I nodded saying,"Yeah, that's it."

  Roman smiled and whispered to me,"Thank you."

  Ramsey said,"I hate to ruin this cute little moment, but who's car is that?"

  When I saw what Ramsey was pointing at, my eyes widened and I asked Roman,"Who's Camaro is that?"

  Roman said,"Don't worry about it, Y/N."

  I sent Roman a look, before Roman cleared his throat saying,"Baby, there's no one inside that car."

  I chuckled saying,"Roman, I know there are cars that drive themselves now, but the car itself has to belong to someone and that someone has to at least be inside that car to make their dramatic entrance. So, who is it? A relative you don't want me to meet?"

  Roman sighed, but he shook his head saying,"All right, Y/N. I'll just show you, then. Just don't scream."

  I nodded and Tej said,"She has to see you every day. I'm sure she's screamed many times already."

  I chuckled, but Roman walked over to the black and yellow Camaro.

  Roman said,"All right, Bee, show 'em."

  In a matter of seconds, the Camaro before me was now towering over everyone at the barbecue. I had never seen anything like it before, but it was...cute.

  Roman crossed his arms saying,"Guys, this is Bumblebee or Bee. Bee, this is my family."

  For some reason, I had my hand up slowly moving towards Bumblebee.

  Letty asked me,"Y/N, what are you doing?"

  Bumblebee watched me for a minute, but then he leaned down and somehow rested his gigantic face against my hand.

  I smiled and laughed saying,"This is so cool! It's nice to meet you, Bumblebee. I'm Y/N."

  Bumblebee closed his eyes and leaned more into my hand.

  Roman said,"All right, Bee. Don't steal my woman. What would Sam say?"

  I whispered to Bee,"Who's Sam?"

  Roman just smiled at me and Bee, but Roman asked me,"Y/N, can I talk to you for a minute?"

  I said,"Yeah. I'll be back, Bee."

  Bumblebee waved to me and Ramsey said,"Aww."

  Roman led me out to the driveway in front of Mia and Brian's home.

  I asked Roman,"What did you want to talk to me about?"

  Roman stroked my cheek as he said to me,"I really just wanted to thank you for saying what you said about me to Tej back there. You could've talked about anyone from your past, but you didn't, and I appreciated that. Even if it doesn't seem like it, Y/N, I really do the best I can to take care of you every day. If it doesn't seem like I'm doing enough, I promise you that I'll do better. I owe you that."

  I opened my eyes and looked Roman in the eyes saying,"Roman, you are amazing. You are. I said what I said, because I wanted to say it. I wasn't thinking about anyone from my past, nor did I want to. I'm only focused on you. I promise. Don't get too caught up on what Tej said about me being able to choose anyone else other than you, okay? I love you."

  Roman just pulled me in for a hug and rested his chin on top of my head.

  Roman said,"Thank you, Y/N. I love you, too. We should go back to everyone else."

  I shook my head saying,"No. We should stay this way a little longer. They'll come get us if it's really important."
