   Y/N'S POV

  I thought Dominic Toretto was the best racer in town. I barely had to step on the gas to beat him. If this was what the best looked like around here, it was going to be way easier than I thought it was going to be to be the best racer in town.

  I stepped out of my car, which seemed to surprise Dominic Toretto.

  I chuckled and asked him,"Still trying to figure out how you lost to me, Toretto?"

  Dominic chuckled and shook his head saying,"No. I wasn't expecting..."

  I finished for him by saying,"A woman? That's fair. I hear that the men around here are pretty hard to beat, so I'll take that as a compliment. I'm Y/N."

  Dominic shook my head saying,"Dominic Toretto."

  I smiled at Dominic, but I quickly became distracted by the man that was standing beside Dominic's car.

  I asked Dominic,"Are you going to introduce me to your friend?"

  Dominic led me over to the man and said to him,"Jesse, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is Jesse. He's a really good friend of mine. He's... family."

  I grew a little shy as I said to Jesse,"Hello, Jesse."

  Jesse said,"Hi, Y/N. You're really pretty."

  I smiled at Jesse saying,"Thank you, Jesse. You're really cute."

  Dominic said,"What's happening right now?"

  Jesse said,"Dom..."

  I said,"Go away, Toretto. Jesse and I are talking. It was great meeting you, though."

  Dominic nodded, walking over to his car.

  I looked back at Jesse and asked him,"Would you like to walk together, Jesse?"

  Jesse smiled at me saying,"Sure. Ladies first."

  I thanked Jesse, then Jesse and I just started walking together.

  Jesse asked me,"Are you... new here, Y/N?"

  I nodded saying,"Yes, I am new to this particular area. I already noticed how terrible the traffic is down here."

  Jesse laughed, but he said to me,"It's really bad out here, but... you'll get used to it."

  I stepped over someone's shoe and said to Jesse,"I doubt that I'll ever get used to being in heavy traffic. I'll still find a way to get angry every single time."

  Jesse crossed his arms and said,"I mean, I could tell you which areas to avoid at certain times of the day. That way, you wouldn't have to sit in one place for too long."

  I shook my head saying,"You're too generous, Jesse, but I'll manage. I need to work on my patience anyway. I won't hold you up any longer, though. I'm sure Dom's tired of watching the two of us walking around in circles."

  Jesse laughed again, but he nodded and walked me back to my car.

  I asked Jesse,"Will I be able to see you again, Jesse?"

  Jesse smiled and held my door open for me saying,"Yes."

  I got in and Jesse closed my door back. I let down the window and held out my hand for Jesse to shake.

  Jesse shook my hand as he said to me,"Thank you for...talking to me, Y/N. May I give you my phone number?"

  I reached down and picked up my phone, giving it to Jesse a little too quickly.

  I said,"You may. May I put my phone number in your phone, Jesse?"

  Jesse gave me his phone. I put my number in, then Jesse and I gave each other our phones back.

  Jesse looked me in the eyes as he said to me,"Y/N, I'm not trying to..."

  I sent Jesse a warm smile saying,"You don't have to finish that sentence, Jesse. I know that you have good intentions. I also have good intentions, but I'll see you around."

  Jesse stepped back from my car and waved to me saying,"Goodbye, Y/N."

  I said,"Goodbye, Jesse."
