   BRANDY'S POV

I walked over to Roman and asked him,"What's going on with Brian?"

Roman held up his hands and said,"Whatever's going on right now, that's between you and Brian, Brandy. I gotta go."

  I groaned saying,"Rome, seriously?"

Roman said,"Seriously, Brandy. My girl's waiting on me."

Roman hugged me before he ran off. After shaking my head at Roman's behavior, I looked over at Brian. Brian was sitting in the driver's seat of my car, then Brian stepped out of my car.

I asked him,"Can you fix it?"

Brian handed me back my car keys and said to me,"No, you're going to have to take it to get looked at by a professional. I have no idea what's going on with your car. You know I'd fix it for you if I knew what was going on with it."

I nodded, but I noticed how Brian was intentionally trying not to look me in the eyes. That wasn't a good sign...

  I just asked Brian,"What did I do, O'Conner?"

Brian said,"You know what you did, Brandy. I just want to hear you say it to me."

I leaned on my car saying,"I lied to you, and I never lie to you, Brian."

Brian looked over at my car saying,"What did you lie to me about, Brandy?"

I said,"I lied to you about your girlfriend starting the fight between me and her, even though I started the fight because I was jealous that she would get to spend the time that I usually spent with you with you."

Brian nodded and said,"Brandy, you didn't need to fight her. You could've just talked to me about how you were feeling."

I shook my head saying,"Brian, even if I had told you what really caused me to fight her that day, you wouldn't have believed me."

Brian finally looked me in the eyes and said to me,"Brandy, that's crazy! I would've believed you. I would have. I've known you almost as long as I've known Roman, so I would've sat down and listened to whatever you needed me to hear from you. Whether it was what I wanted to hear or not. You just didn't give me the chance to, because you weren't planning on telling me what actually happened."

I sighed and said,"You're right. I wasn't planning on telling you the truth about the fight. I wasn't even planning on apologizing, but I am sorry Brian. I'm not sorry for fighting her, though. She disrespected my family and called me out of my name, so that she could get a reaction out of me. I gave her one, but I am sorry that I hurt you."

Brian looked away from me and asked me,"Do you need a ride home?"

I said,"Yes, I do, but I could call Tej and-"

Brian cut me off by saying,"No, I'll take you home. It'll be the last time I'll do it, though."

  I frowned and said,"Brian..."

He motioned over to his car saying,"Come on, Brandy."

I walked over to his car and got in, letting him close the passenger's side door behind me. I put on my seatbelt, but the entire ride home was so quiet it was painful.

So when Brian finally decided to speak to me, he said to me,"No matter what, Brandy, I'll still love you. You'll always be my girl, but I'm disappointed among a few other things right now. I just need time and space. Can you give me that?"

I nodded, before Brian leaned over and kissed my cheek saying,"Thank you, but I meant what I said earlier. You didn't have to fight her, Brandy. You didn't even have to listen to her. All you had to do was talk to me and tell me what was going on. I would've listened to you. It didn't matter whether I was dating her or not."

I just said to Brian,"You're welcome. I understand, O'Conner, but I just can't see how it would've been that easy. You just have a blind spot when it comes to women."

Brian looked me dead in the eyes and said,"I know that, Brandy."

I took off my seatbelt and stepped out of the car. Brian drove off, leaving me to watch his car disappear in a matter of seconds.
After Brian left me standing in the middle of my driveway, I felt the weight of my several mistakes. How could I have let my jealousy get me to where I am now?
