Once again, thank you all for your patience and support xoxo

Recap of the previous chapter (post-sex) for those who skipped it due to the content...

The bedroom door opened and I looked up quickly to see Cal entering with a mug in his hand. He moved over to my bedside and placed it down on the bedside table. My heart soared as I eyed up the hot coffee and my smile spread across my face involuntarily.

'You okay?' he asked, frowning at me.

'Yeah why?' I smiled.

'Why are you smiling like that?' he asked, looking genuinely confused.

'Nothing, just...thank you for this,' I said as I picked up the mug and warmed my hands against it.

'It's just coffee,' he shrugged.

'I know,' I smirked.

It was just coffee but to me it showed that he wanted me to stay and he spread himself out on the bed in front of me before resting his head on my lap. I placed my hand on his shoulder and slid it down to his chest where he reached up and laced his fingers into mine. My chest fluttered and I tightened my fingers against his, feeling completely comforted and secure with him near me.

'I need to ask you something but it's kind of awkward,' he spoke.

'It's fine,' I replied. 'Just ask.'

'Well...I kind of...ah fucks sake,' he cringed and wiped his palm down his face.

'What is it?' I frowned.

'You know...I...spunked in you,' he said, tightening his eyes shut.

'Oh,' I felt myself turn red as I realised what he was beginning to worry about. 'Well...that's okay...'

'It's not, it's irresponsible,' he said quickly.
'And the time before too I did it.'

'Cal it's fine,' I said, worrying that he might start to panic and think it was a mistake. 'Both times it was just a heat of the moment thing.'

In my head I was actually starting to panic myself. I had always been safe in the past but with Cal I just hadn't thought about it; he was right when he said it was irresponsible.

'Well that's no excuse,' he sighed.

'I'll go to the pharmacy for a plan B,' I said, hoping to reassure him. 'That's what it's for, its emergency contraception.'

'You don't need to go into detail just promise me it'll be fine?' he said.

'I promise,' I nodded, knowing I was still within the timeframe to take it. 'I'll go there tomorrow after school.'

He nodded and relaxed his head on my lap again. I breathed a sigh of relief that we had managed to have a serious conversation without arguing and him saying harsh things to me. I sipped my coffee and glanced down at him and watched his thumb stroke my knuckles. Right now, after everything that had happened, I got the sense that the phase of Cal and his mean words and angry demeaner had passed; I was seeing the true feelings of the real Cal.

'I can't stay late,' I said, feeling disappointed.

I felt his body tense up a little and his thumb paused its movements as he nodded at my words.

'I'll walk you home,' he said.

I wondered instantly why he hadn't offered to take me on his bike; until I realised that walking me home meant spending longer with me.
