Keeping it short and sweet💕

I followed Cal inside the cabin and nibbled my lip in silence as I watched him pace around the room angrily before coming to a stop and glaring at me.

'Don't look at me like that,' I frowned.

'You don't understand how fucking stupid you were to do that,' he jumped right down my throat.

'No, I wasn't being stupid!' I opposed. 'I had a fucking choice and I chose the one that saved the both of us from him.'

'We don't need saving from him!' he growled. 'He's a fucking little pretty boy prick who thinks he can do whatever he wants because his Dad is loved by all and he's had a hard life; who the fuck hasn't?! I certainly don't need you to accept some shitty deal to protect me from him.'

'He promised to leave me alone if I did this,' I told him. 'And then he promised to leave you alone. What else could I say?'

'How about "fuck you" or "stay the fuck away from me" or even better...how about you fucking just come straight to me and tell me!'

'Because he threatened to burn this damn cabin to the ground! With you in it!'

Cal let out a scoff and shook his head.

'It's not funny,' I sighed. 'He would do it. You don't know what he's really like.'

'Believe me, I do,' he said. 'Nonetheless, let him come burn it to the ground because you're staying the fuck away from him now.'

'Don't be so ridiculous,' I rolled my eyes. 'I can't stay away, just let me do this and everything will turn out fine.'

'No,' he answered. 'Just let him come; I'll be waiting.'

'No!' I cried. 'Stop acting all tough and mighty this is serious!'

'I would rather see this cabin burn until there is nothing left before I let him anywhere near you again!' he hissed. 'Even after your deal was over he wasn't going to let you anywhere near me so fuck his deal.'

His words took me by complete surprise and I knew that he had said it without thought due to the sudden drop of his head as he stared at the floor awkwardly. My heart was almost melting inside my chest at what he had said to me and I immediately felt guilty for putting him through more drama. I could see how much he truly cared for me and of course he wasn't going to let me continue being with Archie; he would rather lose his home than let me suffer.

'He said he would make sure you were inside when he did it,' I tried to continue the conversation normally as not to embarrass him further.

'I'm not an idiot Bethan,' he said. 'Stop being so concerned about me please. Just focus on yourself and stay away from him.'

'He will come for us,' I warned him. 'I hope you know that.'

Cal looked up at me and carefully studied my face for a second before crossing the lounge and clutching my face in his hands.

'Like I said,' he muttered. 'Let him fucking come. He's an entitled jackass who has clearly never had a true ass beating in his god damn life and I'm happy to give him that when he arrives.'
