(Last Day til Graduation)

"Staring at the ceiling as I keep glancing. Dear Lord, I got questions and I need answers. I'm trying to understand your vision but all I see is damage. I just want to know why? I mean how..... can Winter like nasty ass Strawberry Pop-tarts? I just don't understand it."

"I know you lying!" Winter managed to say in between laughing at my prayer. I was serious though. Them thangs is nasty as hell. And to think this is a girl a call bestfriend. Where did I go wrong?

"Brown sugar baybeee. It's not up for debate." I took a bite and quickly regretted it as the sugary filling burned the top of mouth. "Agghhh sshhhhh."

Winter doubled over, laughing harder. "See, God don't like ugly." 

We were just chilling outside under the pavilion like we've done every day during lunch since we first met here in 9th grade. Fast forward to senior year and we still here. It was our thing that no one understood and being honest it wasn't for their understanding. I have her front and she had my back. My bestfriend til the end. It's just sad that this is our last day doing this. Bittersweet.

"Nah, that was the Devil's work."

"El oh el," Winter said sarcastically, standing up and grabbing her backpack. I stood up as well, knowing it was close to time for lunch to end. We did our special handshake just as the first bell rung, then headed our separate ways.

"Be ready after school or I will leave your ass.." I yelled to her, loud enough that a few people turned to look at me. Boo nigga.

"Negro please, you wouldn't dare. You love me!"

That is true. I wouldn't leave her. "Yea, yea just be at the car on time please."

She said something as else but I couldn't hear her. I just shook my head and chuckled. She always has to have the last word always. We argue at least once a day because she swear she got all the answers. She'd argue with herself just to be saying something.

My phone vibrated in my pocket as I made it to class and took my seat. I pulled it out to check it and my smile instantly went away.

Baby ❤️: what happened to you at lunch?

Me: nothing. I was in the same spot I'm always at.

Baby ❤️: with Winter?

Me: nah, with Fall... Please don't start. I'm having a good day today.

Baby ❤️: I'm not starting nothing nigga. I just asked a question but aight.

I sighed, lending back in my chair and sliding my phone back in my pocket. All I nigga want is peace between his girl and his bestfriend but with every girl it's the same. She hates her for reasons I will never understand. She's literally is like the best. She minds her business, is never in any drama, loves sports, and kicks ass in 2K. I mean how could you not get along with her? 

My phone vibrated again and I was sure it Chloe since I left her on read. I just didn't feel like arguing with her especially about a girl that is MY BEST FRIEND! Nothing sexual has ever happened between us EVER ! Hell and that says a lot because I can talk a few mothers out their draws while their husbands are in the next room. I'm just that nigga. No cockiness. Just straight facts!!
