Winter
I pulled up to valet, letting the nice gentleman help me out of my SUV. I adjusted my khaki crops, smoothing out the wrinkles from sitting. I tightened my white tie in the front shirt, putting a double knot, making sure it was secured. I slipped my ticket into my black kettle bell shaped purse and heading into the resident.
I checked my Michael Kors watch, seeing that it was 7:55 pm. G said to be here at 8 and I'm proud of myself because I'm usually late to everything but Amir didn't protest his baby sitter tonight.
"Damn baby, can I just be the underwire in the bra?" some guy sitting outside of the restaurant said as I walked by. I just shook my head and laughed. Niggas say anything. I approached the podium and the host greeted me with a smile.
"Hi! Are you meeting someone or would you like to check in?" She couldn't have been no older than 20 but he warm smile was inviting.
"I'm actually meeting someone. It should be under Lucas."
She scanned the list, checking for the name. "Yes ma'am, it looks like they're seated already so if you'll just follow me."
They? Who is they? I asked myself as I followed the young lady towards the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere was a little noisy, each table of guest having their own conversations within each other. We arrived to the table and there sat G............... with Chloe. Oh hell no.
