The Wolf Girl

*Inori's POV*

I was standing in Y/N's place in front of the King. I still haven't seen Y/N anywhere...

King: "As a reward for your efforts during the Wave and for fulfilling my request, Motoyasu-dono will receive 4,000 silvers, and Itsuki-dono and Ren-dono will receive 3,800. And as agreed upon, I have set aside 500 silvers for the Shield. However... Since it's offset by the cost of freeing his slave from her curse, he will receive no funds this time."

Wait... But what about Y/N's pay...?

Itsuki: "I don't think that's going to fly. You interfered in the duel, dispelled the... slave crest, was it? And now you refuse to pay him what he deserves?"

Ren: "Right? If you'd followed the rules, Naofumi and Y/N clearly would've won that duel."

Motoyasu: "Wha... I didn't lose!"

Myne: "You're mistaken, Itsuki-sama, Ren-sama. It was--"

Inori: "No, you're the one that is mistaken!"

Myne: "What?"

Inori: "Even the Sword Hero admits that they would've lost, if you didn't cheat by using your magic."

Myne: "They lost because you interfered!"

Inori: "After you cheated!"

Ren: "Besides, when the Wave hit, It was Naofumi and Y/N who defended that village in the knights' stead. I believe they must be compensated in some way. You didn't even mention Y/N's pay."

King: "Very well. I shall afford him the minimum agreed amount, for Y/N, he's not here. So--"

Inori: "I'll bring it to him!"

King: "You still wish to be with him? Very well."

Naofumi get's handed his bag of silver, as I get handed Y/N's silver.

King: "You have it, so begone already!"

Naofumi was about to walk forward, until Raphtalia stopped him.

Raphtalia: "Isn't it great, Naofumi-sama? We don't have to waste our time in this place anymore."

It looks like that pissed off the king. I find it quite funny. 

Naofumi: "We're leaving, Raphtalia."

Naofumi and Raphtalia began leaving. I began leaving as well.

Inori: "I'll be on my way now."

I walked out of the castle and saw Naofumi. I yelled his name and ran towards him.

Naofumi: "Hm? What is it?"

Inori: "It... It's Y/N, I haven't seen him since the duel... I'm worried about him."

Raphtalia: "He's still missing?"

Inori: "Yes..."

Naofumi: "So let me guess, you want our help to find him. Right?"

Inori: "Yes, please help..."

Raphtalia: "Naofumi-sama?"

Naofumi: "If we see him, we'll bring him back to you, okay?"

Inori: "Thank you so much!"

Naofumi: "Don't thank me..."

*Y/N's POV*

I walked out of a cave, my right arm had blood coming down it, blood coming down my head. I just got done facing some high leveled goblins. I even killed their leader, which was a giant. Call me the Goblin Slayer. I looked at my level, level 38. I leaned against the stone wall. I slid down it and sat down. I looked up and saw a bird fly down to me, a delivery pigeon? I extended my left arm out and it landed. I slowly moved my right arm up and grabbed the letter it was holding.

Y/N: "Thank you..."

It flew off and I put the letter into my left hand and let my right arm drop. How did that bird even find me...? Whatever. I read the letter

I'm not sure where you are, I was just told that this bird will find the person you want it to go to, no matter what. Just come to Lute Village. Inori misses you and asked me for help to find you.

Right... She misses me? Bull shit. I don't need her. I was betrayed. It's all this world knows how to do. Betray people left and right. I slowly stood up and began walking slowly. Now that I think about it... I might bleed out before I get there... I stopped. I don't even know what direction I should be heading in... I heard a scream and I started heading towards it. I saw a young girl, with wolf ears? A tail? Must be a demi-human. She had black hair with silver at the tips. She was surrounded by goblins. I thought I killed all of them. They were closing in on her. I grunted in pain and had lightning surrounding me. I made it next to the girl before they could get to her. She looked up at me as I stood my ground. 

Y/N: "Don't worry, you won't get hurt..."

She saw blood dripping from my right arm and blood covering my left eye. She looked concerned. I created ice spikes that pierced all of the goblins through their heads. The ice disappeared and they all fell to the ground dead. I fell to one knee.

Y/N: "Damn it, looks like I won't make it there..."

Wolf Girl: "Make it where...?"

Y/N: "Lute village. Some people are apparently waiting for me there."

Wolf Girl: "I-I see. U-Um, who are you?

Y/N: "Y/N, the... the Elemental Hero."

The girl began hugging me. Why?

Wolf Girl: "I heard about you before! The Elemental Hero is a kind person that was also mistreated. He was also kind to demi-humans."

Y/N: "I see... What's your name?"

Ash: "I-It's Ash."

Y/N: "It's nice to meet you, Ash..."

She let go of me and I fell over to the ground, laying there. Feeling everything fade away.

Ash: "You need to get to Lute village... Huh?"

*Inori's POV*

I was with Naofumi and Raphtalia in Lute village. Naofumi said he sent a letter out for Y/N, and that it will get to him no matter what. We were eating, with Naofumi's new partner that he got today. A Filolial. We heard someone yell for Naofumi. So we got up and went outside. We saw a giant wolf looking at us.

Naofumi: "Be on guard, we don't know if it's friendly."

Wolf: "Someone please help him!"

We saw the wolf turn into a young girl, she had wolf ears and a tail. A demi-human? No... That couldn't be it. We saw Y/N fall onto his face, unconscious, blood covering his left eye and blood coming off of his right arm...

Inori: "Y/N?!"
