chapter 18: playing around.

Harry pov

"Ava, would you mind showing Harry where his locker is? I have to go to the office for a minute." she nodded, and he kissed her forehead and went to class.

I should have felt bad for doing what I was about to do, for my plans. But I don't. And I won't. I never tried to find them, but they never tried to find me. I didn't really have any attached feelings. Why would I?  I hardly knew them.

I spent a lot of my night planning. Avatar clearly wasn't into the bad boy stuff, I mean look at Marcel. Although she did seem to look extra well at him when he wasn't in his little nerd outfit. So my conclusion was, she wanted a guy in the middle of nerd and bad boy. She clearly doesn't like his nerd getup. But she liked him. He was a nice guy. And after all,  nice guys finish last.

I looked exactly like him, so no competition there. I had the bad boy look, which clearly she liked, but gave up because he didn't have the look. And I could have the same personality as him. It couldn't be that hard.

"So, what's your first class? Maybe we all have the same class." She asked trying to make conversation.

"English IV. " we discussed our schedules and found we had all of the same except for two. When they had excelled art, I had health and when they had health I had excelled gym.

She showed how to open my locker and went to leave for class. I smoothly grabbed her hand.

" I can call you my first friend here. I appreciate that Ava. It truly is a privilege." I held her hand up and kissed the top. She blushed, but didn't respond.

She turned and went. She seemed very fluttered. It made me happy that I had that affect on her.

MARCEL POV

I was happy that I had my brother back. But something was a little weird. I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden he just up and moved to America.

I decided that it didn't matter.  He was family. That's all that mattered.

Lunch time approached and I was soon seeing habits of Harry's.  He ussually directed most of his attention towards me or Ava. Mostly Ava, though. He looked at her weird. It was unexplainable. It was clear he didn't like her, which was a relief.  It seemed like he was just observing. Eh, what did it matter.

He also has bad habits of eye rolling, and sarcasm. He isn't mean about it.  He will just use sarcasm a lot. And often rolls his eyes for no reason. Sometimes he will smack his lips while eating. Which, I think everyone is guilty of occasionally. But the worst is that he flirts, with any girl. Although, he avoids flirting when Ava is around. 

It felt great to not have to hide my feelings from her anymore. She would always hold my hand when we were together, but we didn't make a habit of kissing at school. Occasionally she would rest her head on my shoulder. It was honestly a feeling that I wouldn't ever want to give up. She was finally mine.

I knew that I would never mistreat her. She was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Although she deserved better, I knew that I should never take her for granted. She did choose me after all. I wasn't making her be with me. The memory of our first kiss mesmerized me. It was like the best dream anyone could have. 

I was staring at a calender, counting the months we have been friends. 1...2...3..almost 8 months. It made sense. Spring break was almost a week and a half away.

Then it dawned on me....what would we do for spring break?  This was the first year I had someone to spend time with, and I was going to take advantage of that.

But what would we do? I had about 800$ saved just for personal uses. So I wasn't lacking. The only thing I needed was plans.
