I decided to post! Yay! This is a shorter wait than last time, wasn't it? Oki, well, thanks to everyone for reading, 145 views! I never thought we would come to this moment :D.

Oki, well, I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seats waiting for this chapter because I use sooooo many cliffhangers...hehehe...

It was dark. There were no lights in sight, and all I could see was darkness ahead of me. I tried to reach out to Sophie, but there was no reply. I hope she's alright. I thought, trying to look around.  But the  Neverseen had me firmly chained down to the hard, cold floor.  No one else was in the room as I could tell, but I wasn't sure.

It was silent, quiet, yet definitely not peaceful. The temperature in the room was practically at freezing point, and the position I was in was definitely not comfortable. I tried once again, to break out of the chains somehow, but yet again, it was another failed attempt. I leaned my head against the cold wall and sighed. I'd let Sophie down again, and this time, no one was there to save us. Even I had no clue where we were, despite the fact they hadn't used chloroform on me. I still wondered why, but maybe they had wanted me awake to see what would be done to Sophie. I shivered at the thought.

I tried to sleep, but I couldn't. Nightmares of them torturing Sophie just kept coming and coming, and I couldn't chase them away. At that point, I wasn't even worried about what was going to happen to me.  I was just worried about what was happening to Sophie. I didn't bother yelling, it wouldn't help. That was when I realized I was completely helpless. Helpless to Sophie, helpless to the Black Swan, helpless to myself.

I didn't want to give up, but at the moment, everything, even speaking, seemed impossible. All I could do was sit, and wait, for someone to come and help me.

Frozen tears leaked down my cheeks. I need to do something. I thought. In order to be useful, I have to do something. I shook off my tears and looked determinedly around the dark room. I need to reach out to someone. I didn't believe the Neverseen took the correct precautions for me to not be able to telepathically reach out to someone,  but I could never be sure. So I agonizingly tried to reach out to Keefe. Keefe wasn't always the best choice to go on "let's save people" missions, but I knew that if he heard me, he wouldn't think of it as "just a voice in his head". At least, I hoped.

I tried harder and harder. The pain got worse and worse. It seemed like I was getting nowhere, and even worse, it was painful and would probably be for nothing. I kept trying anyway. Finally, I stored almost my last bit of energy into it, and I was in. "KEEFE!" I shouted loudly, "KEEFE!" To my relief, a voice replied.

Fitz?

Never in my life had I felt as relieved to hear Keefe's voice.

It's me. I need help. Sophie....is....I don't....

Slowly, my energy began to fade away, and as my exhilaration faded, the pain increased.

Hold on, Fitz, hold on, we're coming.

But I couldn't hold on. I tried desperately, but I couldn't. Slowly, the painful world faded away into a black darkness, darker than the room  I had been in, colder, but less painful. And soon, I could smell nothing, hear nothing, see nothing. I'm sorry, Sophie. Was my last thought before I slipped away into a painful darkness.
