It had been a week since the reunion. And things have been going great. I was on my way to see Jake for a catch-up. When I get a phone call.
Hello?
Kara Danvers?
Yes, that's me.
I would need you and your daughter to come to the court.
Oh, ok. When?
One hour.
Can I ask why?
That will be answered when you arrive. I'll see you soon.
"Dammit!" I say under my breath.
"Hey, Jake bad news. Apparently I have to be in court. Rain check?" I left in his voicemail.
I got to court and was shown to a conference room. There I saw Finn and what I'm guessing a lawyer.
"Kara Danvers please sit." The lawyer said.
"So, what's this about?" I ask.
"Well, apparently you and Finn Hudson's daughter hasn't seen her father. You see this must be something that is court approved. And since he would like to see her there is a lawsuit against you." The lawyer said. "But, if you two agree on co-parenting we will drop the lawsuit."
"May I speak in private with Finn?" I ask, as politely as possible.
"Sure." He leaves.
"What? A lawsuit?" I ask, Finn.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this but, I want to be a part of her life, too." He explained.
"You know that I won't have any money if you go through with this!" I almost shout.
"Yes, and that's why I didn't intend to. I just need you to take this seriously." He said.
"You know what. Fine." I give up.
(A little while later)
"Ok so, it's settled. You will do every other week. Thank you for your time." The lawyer says then leaves.
"Ok, Amber. Your gonna go home with Daddy." I tell her.
"Ok Mommy. I love you." She says giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Love you too, baby. Listen, to your father." I say, giving her a suitcase. And leave.
