"Mo Yuan....." she whispered in disbelief as Guotin entered the den behind her.
Taking a few steps towards her, Mo Yuans smile intensified at the narrowing eyes behind her, before turning his attention back to her.
"Since your ...." Mo Yuan stalled for dramatic effect .... "last visit...." he licked his lips suggestively, "I thought I would come and see if you're up for another round...." he winked down at her, before taking her hand and lifting it to his mouth to kiss it.
Snatching it back was purely reflex, because her mind was still catching up the situation she now found herself in. That smile of his was so disconcerting, that it was taking several seconds longer for her get her head around it.
"This is our marriage trial Mo Yuan, whatever happened before today is in the past. Kindly leave." Guotin jumped in with a heavy dose of anger before she could open her mouth and though it wasn't the right thing to say at that moment considering her father was also there, she agreed with him.
"Guotin, might I remind you, that as a guest in my den, you do not get to throw my visitors out, that is my perrogative. Kindly step back." Bai Zhi cut in over Mo Yuan whose smile was only growing larger and to her eyes, he was looking far more menacing to her than her father at that moment.
Guotin knew this trial would be rife with difficulties, especially seeing as he had all but cut in under Mo Yuan, so he was not really surprised to see him there, though he was certainly surprised at the mans gaul and to arrive on his first day was infuriating, but seeing as her father was the one in charge, he did as ordered but his eyes remained on Mo Yuan the entire time.
"What are you doing here." she asked having finally found her voice, and though it was a little unsteady, the anger was definitely present as her wide eyed began to narrow in on both men.
"I invited him to assist me with the renovations." her father replied for him while Mo Yuan took another step towards her, only to stop when she looked as if she might actually strike him.
Furious that her father would actually go to this much trouble to upset what was a decision her mother had allowed, she spun on him in anger and for the first time, Guotin got to see the temper he had only ever heard about. And though he too was just as angry, he remained silent and only because his position at that moment was a precarious one.
"What renovations?" she asked glaring back at him.
"The wedding chamber and of course you are going to need a nursery for the baby when it arrives, so extensions are going to need to be made. Isn't that right Mo Yuan?" Bai Zhi replied with his eyes of Mo Yuan while a silent all knowing smile passing between them.
"That's correct darling. Our children will need a room of their own while ...." Mo Yuan began to explain, only to be quickly pulled back when she flew straight at him.
"How dare you!" she screamed. Like a switch had been flicked, the barely contained anger exploded.
Snatching at the front of his gown, Mo Yuan suddenly found himself being forced back across the full length of the den, only to be slammed up against the back wall with a heavy thud while her father barely caught sight of it, let alone react to it.
"This is a marriage trial in progress, and you are not a part of it. Get it into you head Mo Yuan, whatever happened between is, is over and you are not welcome. Get out!" she screamed straight into his face that surprisingly held the smile in place even after she roughly threw him sideways.
"Xiao Wu! Mo Yuan is my guest. I invited him, he is welcome here as a guest of mine and the revered High God of Kunlun Mountain and you will treat him as such!" her fathers voice roared over the top of her and before she knew it, Guotin was all but forgotten having been left to watch this family fight with great interest.
