The Celestial Heavens.

Ye Hua had just returned from a small skirmish in the outer Realms and was heading for Di Juns Palace when Su Jin suddenly appeared before him. His mind was still on something he had overheard and having yet to be filled in on the details which he knew Di Jun would have, he was almost there when the one person in the entire world that had the ability to take his smile in a second, suddenly and without warning jumped out at him.

"Ye Hua, you're back." she smiled brightly at the sudden scowl and instant chill that filled the gap between them. Though she did stop moving any closer to him, when his hand raised in defence seeing as she looked as if she was going to embrace him.

"Don't you have somewhere you need to be." he asked easily sidestepping her attempt to detain him before continuing on as if she wasn't even there.

"I heard you were due to return so I have been waiting for you. Have you heard the news Ye Hua?" she asked spinning about to trot after him having been left standing where she was while he was already several long strides ahead of her.

Ignoring her as he always did, he didn't even bother to ask what news could be so big to have her racing out of her chamber without her maid who followed her everywhere she went, though the sudden flash of white that darted across the courtyard in his peripheral vision soon had him knowing she had caught up.

"High God Mo Yuan has returned. Can you believe it Ye Hua. His soul scattered in the Chaos, yet he pieced it back together to come back to us." her voice twittered on behind him.

Coming to a halt, he turned ever so slowly towards her. Barely managing to avoid a collision Su Jin side stepped just in time only the face that had been relaxed when she first saw him, was now guarded and cold.

"A soul should never leave the chaos once it enters, that he came back is quite a feat, but I would not be celebrating just yet." he said firmly before turning away and leaving her standing in the middle forecourt confused. As far as she was aware, High God Mo Yuans return was a miracle and the first time anyone had ever escaped the Chaos and lived to tell the tale. The entire world was celebrating and even Haode was preparing himself to visit Kunlun Mountain, when the man never travelled anywhere for anyone, so Ye Huas reaction was very confusing.

She thought he would be excited considering his likeness to the War God which they were all informed of many times over the long years, but there was something in his eyes that had her stilling in her tracks as Xin Nu, her maid and confidante drew closer, and what she saw frightened her. There was an edge of darkness in his eyes that he rarely allowed anyone to see when his mind had gone inwards and usually this side of him only presented itself when he was preparing for war, so it made no sense at all.

In fact, Ye Hua was not pleased at all to hear of his return. Much had been written about the chaos which was a place of extremes and one a soul certainly never escaped from. And that was the problem, he was yet to learn exactly how he was brought back, because a scattered soul would need either the soul lamp, which he himself was using or its equivalent, and so far no one had asked to borrow the lamp and nor was he aware of any other artifacts that could gather a soul.

Mo Yuan would have also needed assistance, and as yet no information on who had helped him to return was forth coming from Kunlun Mountain, though there was talk that the High God of the Peach Tree Woods was over seeing Mo Yuans health and safety so he could only assume that he was the one he would have to meet with. Because if a soul was not gathered safely or a soul retrieval attempted by one who did not know what they were doing, then so much could go wrong.

And it was this that concerned him. High God Mo Yuan may have brought back something that did not belong to his soul. Millions upon millions of scattered soul pieces lay wasted in that place, souls that were both good and bad, it didn't matter, but it was the evil souls, the depraved and debased souls that concerned him now, because it was highly probable that High God Mo Yuan may have brought those soul pieces back with him whether intentionally or not.
