The Final Decision

The following five days went by without incident and mainly for the fact that Mo Yuan had not returned having been severely injured.  His cultivation was so low, that Die Feng had immediately sought assistance from Di Jun in order to keep him on the mountain seeing as Mo Yuan was going to leave the moment his injuries had been dealt to.  It had taken a very large dose of gall to do what he did next, but he justified the hit he gave him to knock him out as necessary to his health and wellbeing.

Now kneeling before Di Jun in the Grand Hall accepting his punishment for attacking the War God while too weak to prevent it,  which came swiftly, he didn't move an inch as the great God then took himself to the infirmary to check on Mo Yuan who not only earned a few bruises from the Demons Overlord, but he was sporting a fresh one that Die Feng had given him, and only because Mo Yuan had already been weakened to the point of collapse anyway.

"What the hell is going on?" he asked looking at him as if he had lost his mind.  "And what was Guotin doing here to see you two brawling on Kunlin Mountain like common thugs?" he demanded to know seeing as the world was already unstable enough without their own War God picking fights with the Demons Overlord like some wayward school boy.

"Nothing." Mo Yuan replied as his hand rose to clutch at the side of his head.

"Nothing!" he replied flatly.  "Then let me tell you what I think is going on." he said before taking a seat beside him and leaving him no choice but to listen.

"I think something happened in the Celestial Heavens that severely affected Queen Bai Qians marriage arrangement with Ye Hua.  I also think you were in a relationship with her before you sacrificed yourself, and seeing as Ye Hua also affected her, she now feels wronged and is using the Demon Overlord to claim a debt by entering a Marriage trial with him even though your proposal for her hand was accepted by her father.  Only her father is powerless to stop it seeing as her Mother is also involved so that leaves both you and Ye Hua out and though Ye Hua is young and will move on, you on the other hand have taken it upon yourself to reclaim her at the expense of her your health and at the risk of the worlds safety.  Am I correct?" he asked staring blankly back at the man whos eyes were now on his lap.

"Di Jun.  She has no right being in a marriage trial with him.  She was always mine." he whispered as his fists clenched painfully at his sides.

It had not taken much effort of Di Jun part to figure out what was going on.  Her arrival in the Celestial Heavens followed by her appalling behaviour and even unusual reaction from Haode and Ye Hua suggested strongly that the woman was that Mortal Su Su.  Neither men would make such a public mistake, which in his eyes it was, and her reaction to Ye Hua was even more unusual.  The level of hate in her eyes suggested the two had a history together, but even more telling that his summation that she was there to cause mischief was Mo Yuans reaction, their disappearance from the hall and her return in tears.

Now looking down at the man who had perhaps started something thousands of years before that they were all now going to have to pay for had him doing something that not even he thought he would ever have to do.

"Then you leave me no choice.  You are under house arrest for the remaining duration of their marriage trial.  You will not step one foot off this mountain until it is over, you will instead take yourself into seclusion to regather your cultivation and....." he said holding up his hand to stop him from interrupting...  "should you leave, regardless of the circumstances, I will have you arrested and put on trial for interferring in a legal marriage trial with the intention of causing dissension among the Demons." he said as if he were merely talking about the weather, his tone was the same as it always was only his words struck Mo Yuan like a lightning bolt out of nowhere.
