Thinking back to the day his father died, Mo Yuans memories seemed a little hazy. At the time, he had been the same age as Bai Qian when she passed into the chaos and at the time, he had been fully prepared for it. His father knew his time among them was coming to an end, and had done everything he could to make it easier on those he left behind.
He had named Di Jun his successor and at the time, Mo Yuan was heartbroken because he had assumed from an early age that he would take his place only to be led into his fathers study for a private meeting not long after Di Juns coronation.
And it was then that his father explained why he had been passed over. His entire life had been mapped out for him, only his education had given him the assumption that he was being prepared for Heavenly Lord, only to learn that his father wanted the one man who would protect not only the entire world, but also Di Jun. He had to be that one man that the world could rely on in times of trouble and the one man that a Heavenly Ruler could trust no matter what situations Di Jun might find himself in.
And so began the final stages of his fathers life, as he not only handed him Ye Huas Golden Lotus but also his sword. Then not long after, his father left him to rule alongside Di Jun as his right hand man and also the War God, the one who would protect everything his father had worked so hard to create.
And it was that day, that Mo Yuan realized just how much the Heavens had cherished their special creation, because the skies darkened to the deepest black and for nine days, there was no light as the the world mourned along with the Heavens.
And what had Mo Yuan thinking back to that day, was the woman lying in front of him. Those born of the original tribes were all very special beings whom the Heavens had blessed with not only physcially beautiful appearances and unique powers, but when her Grandfather died, he too plunged the world into darkness.
Yet when he himself died, no such phenomenon occurred in fact, his blessing from the Heavens was the arrival of rainbow birds that filled the skies for days on the day he was born. And when Bai Qian was born, reports of peach blossoms falling across the entire world reached him, so in this respect, they too were very special to the Heavens.
And that had his mind then moving to the day he sacrificed himself to the bell, in which the Heavens fell quiet. There was no natural phenomenon to mark his passing, but when he resurrected from the dead, the Bell of Kunlun rang out for days. And that had him wondering just what phenomenon would occur when she awoke from her slumber considering she too gained no blessings for her sacrfice. But she was of the original clans, and therefore, a natural phenomnon to mark her ressurrection was highly likely.
Now seated beside her father and Zhe Yan who had only been allowed out to see her awaken, Mo Yuans heart was pounding in his chest. Three days had come and gone and from what Zhe Yan had said, her soul was now fully back in her body only she had yet to take that first breath, and though they had all done what they could, but the only one who could breath for herself was her.
"There's no need to rush her." Zhe Yan tried to explain even though it was obvious he too was just as anxious as they were. "Her soul has only just returned, she needs a little time to accliatize." he added with a curious look towards Mo Yuan. "Was it the same for you Mo Yuan?"
"Yes. I remember the moment my soul fully aligned. The bell was tolling and it confused me, but even though I was capable of hearing, I was not aware of what was going on until some time later. It actually took a good hour or so for my senses and my mind to unite until I was fully aware of myself and my surroundings. Only then, did I take that first breath and open my eyes." he explained as both Bai Zhi and Zhe Yan looked at him, both of them feeling his disappointment at her not being there when he awoke.
