Fact about her family: the Loto family has the power of the phoenix. The mark is somewhere on there body and they get to control flames. Hikari is the first female of there family that is born into it. Also the first in many generations to have alot of different types of flames. A family of assassins and is well known. When a member of the Loto family gets married to someone they can make the other person have the power of the phoenix as well but they can't have greater power than the original family members.

Background: Hikari was training with her father when Shin called for dinner, when they both went in she heard her mother say that she was going to get married. Of cause Hikari refused but she had no choice. Along the way to the person's house her mother told her that it was Zoldyck she was going to marry. When they got to the testing gate Hikari kicked it open and it opened three with how much force she used. Her brother took her prised possession a knife that her father gave her and started to run. They fought and didn't even realize that the whole Zoldyck family was outside watching.
When it was time to introduce themselves instead of saying her name Hikari turned to her brother and said "and I'm going to kill you" this caused Killua to laugh a little bit and then Hikari noticed them she said her name and then went inside after the introductions. She had the tour of the house and then her mother announced that she has to get married to Killua. Which Hikari was not happy about.
