The rest of the week went by in a blur. Before I knew it, it was Saturday and I was choosing what to wear to the amusement park with Ash. I finally decided on a black cold shoulder top with sunflowers on it and blue jeans. I combed my hair, put on some lip gloss, and cleaned my glasses constantly until Ash arrived at my house. When the doorbell rang I rushed to open the door.

"I'll get it!" I screamed. When I opened the door I was greeted by Ash in a red polo like shirt, bearing two peach colored roses. "Hey" I said smiling.

"Hey," he said smiling back.

"Hello, Ashton." My mother said from behind me, I hadn't even realized she was standing behind me.

"Hello, Ms. Milton."

"Please, come in." I said to Ash.

"This is for you." Ash said handing me one of the two flowers.

"Thank you, Ash. I'll go put it in my room." I said with a smile. I left my mom and Ash to talk in the living room, while I headed up to my room. Once in my room, I pulled a thick black book from the bookshelf. The book itself was blank. My mom got it for me when I was little for me to draw in but, I never did. Though now it has a purpose, other than a dust collector.

Now it's purpose was to preserve the flowers Ash had given me. I had pressed every flower he had given me into this book. Under each I hand wrote something. Under the first flower I wrote, First date ever with Ashton Wilder, we went to the movies, and he gave me this rose. I twirled the newest rose in my fingers for a minute smiling to myself at how amazing this year has been, minus the having terminal diseases part.

I carefully placed the flower inside the book and place a loose leave sheet of paper on top of the flower and then I closed the book and put it back on the shelf. While I was putting the book back on the shelf I heard my mom and Ash speaking. "Listen, Ashton, I know Sophia is out of the hospital, but she's still sick, she's not going to get better. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Ms. Milton. I do understand, but I also understand that my feelings for your daughter are growing every day." Ash said.

"Ashton, you realize that Sophia has two terminal diseases, correct?"

"Yes I do, and I've done some research on Addison's Disease and Huntington's Chorea and I'm willing to take the risk that Sophia might not be here in a decade. Ms. Milton, I have strong feelings for your daughter and I'm willing to stay with her."

By that point, I was grinning ear to ear. "But are you willing to stay with her even while she's on these medications, and going to therapy, and when she's experiencing the effects of the diseases? Are you willing to stick with her while she's dying? Or will your feelings for her diminish?"

"I am willing to do anything if it means I can stay with her. I-I know it sounds really childish coming out of a teenagers mouth, but I love your daughter more than I can begin to describe." At that point, I was finished eavesdropping. So I emerged from the hall and headed toward the living room.

"Thank you for the rose Ashton, it was very considerate of you." My mom said, changing the subject.

"Your very welcome, Ms. Milton." Ash replied playing along.

"So, mom do you approve?" She was silent, I was so nervous for Ash. I had started to bite my lip when mom responded.

"Yes, I do approve." After my mom drove us to the amusement park. "You two, kids have fun." She said, "Meet me at the drop tower in three hours."

"Ok." Ash and I say in unison. We all head inside. My mom leaving us for the sky view.

"So what do you want to do first?" I asked Ash.

"What do you want to do first?" Ash asked me.

"Roller coasters!" We say in unison. We immediately head for the closest one. After about two and a half hours we had already distinguished our favorite roller coasters.

"We should take a picture in the photo booth!" I suggested.

"Alright." Ash agreed. We ran up to the photo booth. Ash insisted on paying but I was too quick for him this time. I had already gotten out my five dollar bill and paid by the time he had gotten his money to pay. "Hey! I was gonna pay!" He said.

"Just let me have this one." I said, smiling. "Silly or natural picture?" I asked.

"How many pictures do we get?"

"Five." I responded

"Ok how about both? One natural, one silly."

"Alright" I say. We walk inside and sit down on the bench. Ash puts his arm around me. We smiled and look into the camera. Next, we do a silly photo.

Ash grabs a lock of my hair and puts it above his upper lip pretending it is a mustache, I do the same. Our last three pictures were different from the first two. While the clock is counting down from thirty Ash and me lock eyes as the picture is taken. Before I realize it the clock is already counting down for the next picture. And Ash is coming closer to me and I to him. By the time the machine flashes to take our photo Ash is kissing me.

His kiss starts out gentle and soft as if he was terrified, I may break if he applies the smallest amount of pressure. But then he becomes more sure of himself. Soon his gentle, light kiss turns into that made of hunger and passionate love. The camera flashes and captures our kiss. Before I can stop myself I kiss him back just as hungrily and passionately. The camera flashes and captures our love once more.

When we pulled away we were both out of breath. I could feel the heat rising on my cheeks, I bit my lip sheepishly. Ash was also blushing, he was embarrassed, I figured. We exited the booth and our stripe of photos came out. There was one of us smiling, us with "mustaches", us gazing into each other's eyes, and two of us kissing.

"So..." I said, "which pictures do you want?"

"Um...how about I take the one with the mustaches and a kissing one and you take the rest?" Ash offered.

"You don't want the one of us just smiling or the one of us gazing into each other's eyes?"

"You don't want those?" He countered.

"I do, I just thought you'd want them." I said defensively.

"I thought the same." He said, "how about this, we both get one kissing picture and then one of us gets the mustache picture and the other gets the gazing picture and then we do rock, paper, scissors to see who gets the other picture, deal?"

"Deal," I said, "I would like the gazing picture please."

"Very well I will take the mustache picture." Then, it was fate that decided who would get the first picture.

"Rock, paper, scissors." We said in unison. We both put down rock. We tried again, this time I put down paper, and he scissors. He had won.

After we pocketed the pictures and we to go on more roller coasters. Soon it was time to head to the drop tower to meet my mom. "So how was it?" My mom asked.

"It was so much fun mom thank you so much for driving us!" I say smiling at Ash.

"I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves." My mom said smiling.

"Hey Ash," I say to him on our drive back to my house.

"Yes, Sophe."

"Would you like to go to the ice cream shop on the twenty-sixth with me? Maybe we could do a double date with Will and Em?"

"I will check with my mom to see if I can go and call you when I have the verdict. Also, we should definitely do a double date with Will and Em."

"You will?" I asked, smiling.

"I will." He said smiling. By then we had arrived at my house, and a little while later his mom came to pick him up. Eight minutes later he called me saying his mom said he could go.
