<><><><><><><> You were preparing your board to go paddle boarding. You were the only one there besides some people far down the beach.
"Good morning." You heard a voice beside you say. You looked up from waxing your board. "Mornin'." You smiled. You finished waxing your board. You dusted off your knees and and fixed your swimsuit top.

"Have a good surf!" You yelled to the man. You ran out to the water with your board. You sat on your board enjoying the water on your legs. You stood up on the board and started paddling. You sighed deeply taking in the morning ocean smell. Not knowing the man you had spoken to had been watching you. You had stopped paddling and laid down on the board enjoying the movement of the waves. Then all of a sudden you felt a rush of water and you fell off your board. You came back up and got back on your board only to see that the man was responsible.
You decided to paddle back to shore see as it was getting later into the day and you weren't gonna spend your off day paddle boarding. You made it to your towel and what not. You sat there writing on your phone since you were inspired.
30 minutes later
You had finished typing a chapter and you told your publisher that you would be sending in the chapter soon. You were packing up your things.
"I'm sorry, about earlier." The man said to you.
"Oh, it's no problem at all if anything it helped me with my writer's block so thank you." You said grabbing your bag.
"Am I gonna be on the dedication page?" He asked smiling a bit.
"I'll be sure to add the mysterious surfer who crashed into me while paddleboarding." You laughed a little looking at the time on your phone.
"Its been a pleasure." You said reaching out your hand for handshake and name.
"Chris." He said shaking your hand.
"I'm y/n. It's nice to meet you." But you raced off to be anywhere but there.
"Hey, wait!" Chris yelled. You stopped and turned back. "Yeah?" You asked. "Um, you wanna grab something from the little shack down the way?" He asked. "Sure, I'd like that." He grabbed his things and you made both made your way to the shack.
"Hey, y/n. What can I get for ya?" The shack keeper, Lisa asked. "The usual cherry and grape shaved ice please." You said.
"And for the handsome friend?" She asked.
"I'll take a pineapple and coconut shaved ice, please." Chris replied.
"Wow, he's a keeper, y/n. So mannerable." She said turning around to make the shaved ice.
"You must come here often." He said waiting for the shaved ice.
"Yeah, a lot of the inspiration I get for my books come from here." You said gesturing to the beach.
"Here you go, loves." Lisa said you and Chris handed her money. She smiled. "Its on me, loves." She said and you both thanked her and walked to a table.
"So, what do you,Chris?" You asked him taking a bite of your ice.
"I'm an actor." He said copying your move.
"Ooh, any I would know?" You asked smiling like a kid.
"If your a fan of marvel-,"
You cut him off. "Your bloody, Thor. How did I not recognized you?" You asked in awe.
He smiled. "Maybe the hair?" He joked.
"Maybe." You said laughing flirtatiously.
Hours passed and you laughed, talked and joked the whole day away.
"Wow, it's late." You said looking at the clock that showed 10PM.
"Yeah, I really had a great time today. I need to get something off my chest and it might sound weird coming from a semi complete stranger." He said and you edge him to keep going.
"I don't know. I feel like were connected and we were meant to meet today. I've never been drawn to a person the way I am to you. All I know is I have to see you again." He confessed. You smiled. "I feel the same way."
He kissed you and it sent tingles up your body and you pulled away.
You both walked hand in hand back to your respective cars. You unlocked your car and thanked him.
"Thanks for a great day and for walking me to my car."
"No problem. I'll see you again soon?" He asked and you nodded.
