"That food was amazing !"
You exclaimed as your friends agreed.
"Yesss. That cheesecake tho. "
Your friend, Tonya said.
"Ugh, we need to do this again."
You said breathing in the night air deeply.
"Yes, for sure. A trip. Let's plan a trip."
Matt said spontaneously.
"Bet. Let's talk later."
You said saying your goodbyes to your friends. You began walking away when your name was called.
"Y/n, let me walk you home. It's dangerous out here by yourself."
Levi said smiling.
"Sure. Okay."
You said grinning.
You both began walking not saying much but you broke the silence.
"Did you have fun?"
You asked looking over at him and he was looking straight ahead.
He smiled.
"When your there I always have a good time."
You smiled shyly.
"Shucks you know how to make a girl feel special."
You said as your house came into view.
He laughed softly and that was music to your ears.
You both stood on the stoop of your porch.
"So would like to go on a date sometime?"
Levi asked you.
"Yeah,of course."
5 months later
You had being dating Levi for 3 months and it was going great or not. He had start becoming obsessive telling you not hang out with your guy friends specifically Matt because Matt apparently had feelings for you. His obsessive behavior was so severe he knew where you were even if you didn't tell him. It scared you a lot.
"Matt, he's weird. I've woken up several times and phone numbers in my phone have gone missing and he knows my location at all times. I think I'm gonna break up with him he's scaring me."
You said sipping your coffee anxiously.
"I'll be there if you need me. Look I'd love to stay but I gotta go back to work. Love you. Thanks for the coffee."
He said waving walking out the door. That was the last time you saw Matt alive and you knew that Levi had something to do with it.
FEW WEEKS LATER
You had arrived at the new home you moved into after you broke up with Levi. You broke down when you thought about your best friend, he was dead. And you felt that somehow it was your fault. Maybe it was if you never agreed to a date with Levi maybe he would still be here.
"Are you okay?"
You turned around and saw Levi standing there.
"Why are you here?"
You asked backing up to your knife drawer.
"I came to talk to you. I missed you."
He said.
You had to play this smart. You slid the knife in the back of your pants.
"You still love me?"
You asked tears coming to your eyes.
He came to you.
"With my life."
He walked towards you and grabbed your hand and kissed it. You fought the urge to gag at his touch.
"Have to ask something and be honest with me okay?"
You said bring your hand to his cheek.
He nodded.
"Did you kill Matt?"
You asked.
"I had to. He was getting in the way of true love. We love each other and he was willing to get in the way of that."
He said coming to his feet confirming what you suspected.
You pulled the knife from the back of your pants and held it to his neck. You reached in his pocket and grabbed his phone dialing 911 telling them everything. Levi grabbed the knife and stabbed you in the stomach. You doubled over in pain as Levi stood over you.
He crouched to your level.
"If I cant have you no one will."
He whispered. You gasped for air but you used the last of your strength to pull the knife and stabbed in the neck.
"Try again."
He fell over dead as you heard the sirens getting closer. You smiled as your eyes closed.
