CHAPTER 8

"In my defense, all this wasn't suppose to happen and I didn't tell you how rude Asher was on the bar night when he dropped me." I say and she turn to look at me eyes opened and focuses back on the road.

"When we get to your house you shall narrate everything to me." She says and I nod.

"Why did you allow two hot guys to see me in this horrible state" Jenny says pointing to her face.

I start laughing and reply, "Well, you did a good job by lowering your head and the good part is that you are no more sad".

With that she pushes me slightly and we both start laughing. I turn up the volume of the song cause my favourite song has just dropped and we start singing (lying) to the song.

We get home around 6 pm and we greet my parents and walk up to my room.

"So now start narrating before I forget" Jenny says whiles lying on my bed. My house is literally like her second house.

"Curiosity kills the cat" I reply and she sticks her tongue out and poutes.

"Stop being a baby old woman" I say.

"Don't try to change the topic" she replies gaining a big ughhh from me.

So I start narrating everything to her and by the time I was done with the face she was doing I could tell she was flabbergasted.

We started getting hungry so went down to eat taking our phones and I took my laptop cause I wanted to show Jenny something and download some movies.

As we getting down the stairs, we heard some cracking noise from the roof and some moulds on the ceiling. This got my notice so I told my dad who was watching a movie on the tv. He replied, "I guess it's because the house is getting old but we will try and fix it so no need to worry"

We walked up to the kitchen and the weird noise from the roof was getting louder which made me slightly scared.

My mum noticed as well as my dad who joined us in the kitchen immediately. Jenny was holding tightly to my arm and her phone while I was holding my laptop and my phone as well.

Noticing the tension my dad trys to calm us down by saying, " Maybe there is a strong wind causing all this noise". I have to admit my house is pretty old but it still looked strong until now.

Powder started falling on our heads from the roof and this made us ran outside as soon as possible and in a flash of second the house collapsed.

I really loved my house and now it looked like a giant sat on the roof. The roof sagged and the cedar shingles stuck up in places like wooky teeth.

The windows had no glass in them and they seemed not to quite rectangle any more. The was glass scartered all over the floor. The bricks were now visible and most of them were cracked and in powder form.

"OMGGG!" My mom literally screamed as tears run down her cheeks. My dad held her tightly in a hug.

Jenny and I were too shocked to say something. Our hands were over mouth which was just opened.

I gave my laptop to Jenny to hold as I go console my mom.

"What are we going to do?" I ask my dad.

"I don't know yet sweetheart but we will spend the night in the hotel. I need calm place to be able to think well".

"Jenny call your parents" my dad tells Jenny who quickly takes her phone and calls.

With all this noise, we were surrounded by our neighbors who looked as shocked as we were.

One of my mother's friends come up to us with some blanket and gives it to my mother who whispers 'thank you'.

It took me five minutes to realise that I have really lost everything. My bed, my dresses and mostly my documents for work. Thank God I took my laptop.

15 minutes later, Jenny's parents arrive along with an ambulance.

They rush to her and pull her in a tight hug. I could see her mother is crying. Well, it's understandable cause they could have lost their daughter.

They then move to me and my parents and says sorry. They start talking about something so I move back to Jenny who looks at me with pity.

The police later arrives with the media. They tell us to move to the ambulance to make sure no one is hurt.

We were about to go with Jenny and her parents when my dad is asked to stay to answer some few questions. My mom decides to stay with him and I go with Jenny to her house.

" Jade everything will be ok". I hear a voice say bringing me back to earth. I look up to Jenny's mom, Mrs.Griff who gives me a small smile.

Minutes later, we reach the house and Jenny and I moved to sit in the hall.

The TV is put on and there is already news going on about my house.

"Jade it will be okay" Jenny says . I look at her and finally let my tears flow. I place my head on her tight and she whispers, " No need to worry" with that I fall asleep.

What's your favourite accent? honestly, I prefer British like in Sex education.
