I was up on the bridge, looking out at the water
They said step down kid, they were calling my father
They said don't be afraid, it'll be all right
How can you make that promise, it doesn't seem so bright
I was too scared to fall
And I couldn't make that call
I am grateful for that today
But I still am so curious
If I took it too serious
And I had gone the wrong way
Now you're up on the bridge, looking down at the water
I approached carefully, saying don't move farther
You asked me a question, what was the purpose
I'm not really sure, but I know that it's worth it
Cuz here I still am
Here you could still be
Making our way with the world
And getting to see
All those beautiful moments
Though far they seem
Just step back down and come with me
