Chapter 22: Friendsgiving

This year, we decided that the weekend after Thanksgiving, we were gonna do a Friendsgiving. Bryce, Chloe and I were shopping for tonight. "What else is on the list, Abby?" Chloe asked putting pies in the cart.

"Just whip cream, and stuffing." She nodded. Bryce walked to go find the stuffing and Chloe and I grabbed the whip cream.

"How's Zach Doing?" Chloe asked as she crossed Whip Cream off the list.

"He's doing fine, still struggling with the Idea of not playing football in college, but he's getting through it." She rubbed my arm.

"He'll be fine. You guys will have thousands of things to do on campus next fall." I smiled at her.

"Yeah." We walked around for a little bit and Bryce walked over with 8 boxes of stuffing.

"Ready?" He asked throwing them in the cart.

"Yup!"

Bryce backed the car into the driveway then Justin and Monty came out and helped with the groceries.

"Thanks Boys!" They returned Your welcomes as they carried the bags in. Chloe and I began cooking. My mom made the turkey for us. So we just had to bake The Pies, cook the Stuffing, and the potatoes.

I was finishing up the potatoes and Chloe, Jess, And Hannah we're setting the table. "What can we bring our to the table?" Jess asked.

"Everything but the potatoes...but leave the pies." She nodded and started taking food out. I finished up the potatoes and brought them out.

"BOYS! Dinners done!" They started coming into the dining room. "Ah. Wash your hands." They nodded and split up to wash their hands.

We all sat down at the table and everybody complimented Chloe and I on cooking dinner.

"Okay. Since were making traditions... we're gonna go around the table and say what we're thankful for!" Everyone smiles and Bryce started.

"I'm thankful for having such great friends, an amazing girlfriend, and the best sister I could ask for."

"I'm thankful, for the Walker's always taking me in when I need it, without question. And I'm thankful for Jess." Justin said.

"I'm thankful that we're all here today, having a hot meal, enjoying each other's company, and being such great friends." Jessica smiled softly.

I'm thankful, for Justin. I'm thankful that our parents are adopting him, and I'm thankful for you guys helping him out, and I'm thankful for such great friends." Clay looked at Justin and they smiled at each other.

I'm thankful, for Clay and his big heart, and for you guys! You are really the greatest friends." Hannah fanned her eyes. "I love you guys."

I'm thankful that my knee is gonna be okay, I'm thankful for Abby staying strong and by my side through the two surgeries and for UCLA." Zach squeezed my hand. I smiled at him.

"I'm thankful, that I have a group of friends who accept each other no matter what, and we have each other's back. No matter what." Chloe said.
