Chapter 30: Zach's Party

Zach was throwing a party before graduation, he was throwing at our new house. So basically, Zach and I were throwing a party. Bryce and Monty wheeled in a few kegs.

"The last party before graduating...I can't believe school is over. In a few months we're all gonna be separated." Monty said sitting down next to me on the couch.

"Aww Monty. we're still gonna see each other not just everyday. And everyone is just a call away." We hugged. "You'll always be a brother to me mont."

"Abbs. Don't make me cry." He sat back. "I'm saving my tears for Senior Night, and Graduation." He smiled. "But you're a sister to me too."

I went upstairs to get dressed and Chloe came into the room and sat in my chair.

"Hey Girly, Bryce and I are leaving for what was supposed to be the Babymoon tonight. Is there anything you need before we leave?" I pulled on my ripped jeans.

"No. Zach and I will be good."  I threw on my Cashmere sweater. "Have fun with Savannah and Bryce."  She nodded and walked to the door and I threw my boots on.

"Have fun tonight but not too much fun." She winked and left. I sighed and sat down on the bed.

"Why so down?" Bryce said sitting next to me.

"I'm just wondering why all the bad things happen to me?" He gave me a questioning look.  "I got raped, dad left, Jeff died." I put my head in my hands  "when does it stop."

He rubbed my back. "Abby, it's been a hard long year. But you are the strongest girl I know. Everyone thought Dad leaving would destroy you, but you got through it. Jeff dying actually broke you, but you rebuilt the pieces. You will be happy when you and Zach are in that amazing apartment at UCLA, you have to stay strong and fight through the bad days, just to have the good. Smile big because you deserve to be happy, you deserve a future where you don't break down at the mention of Jeff. He'll be with you, watching over you, protecting you, being that little voice in your head that tells you to get up everyday. Because you, are gonna take over the world, Abigail Rose Walker." I smiled at him, he's always the best big brother

"Thank You, Bryce." He hugged me and left. I quickly threw my hair in a neat bun and ran downstairs. Zach had started letting people in.

A few hours had passed by and I was sitting on the porch swing, the cold air hitting my face as the swing slowly moved back and Forth.

I sat there thinking about what Bryce has said to me. Jeff will always be watching over me, and protecting me. If that's true, who was supposed to be Watching over Jeff and who was supposed to be protecting him.

I sat there for a little while longer and Justin came outside. "Hey, Zach was wondering where you are." I looked at him and sighed. "What's wrong?" He sat down next to me.

"Just thinking about life, like why Jeff had to die, why him? Jeff had too many good things going for him." I wiped my eyes.

"Jeff wouldn't want you sitting here trying to figure out why he died..." he sighed knowing her couldn't say the right thing. "Just, keep your head up...one day you'll know the reason he had to die." He grabbed his drink and went inside.

It got a little too cold so I went back inside and found Zach, Monty, Jess, and Hannah playing beer pong. I stood and watched in admiration. All my friends were here tonight, and soon we'd be separated, but we're gonna get through this together.

I'm sooo sorry for being quiet for a few days. I've been traveling the past two days, and yesterday I got Power Chains put on my braces and it hurts like a biiittchhh.

I'm in sooo much pain and I hate life right now, but I'm gonna try and get a few chapters out before my birthday.
