Chapter 14-El Nido

Nakatanggap ako ng tawag mula kay boss.

"Anong sabi ni Mr. Sta Maria?"

Seryoso kong tinitigan si Kenjiro.

"Boss wants me to take you out of this mess literally at bahala na muna sila sa lahat."

"And what do you mean by literally?"his forehead knotted.

"You will leave all of this bloody mess and move your ass on a deserted place with me."

"Holy mother fucker! I couldn't possibly leave my business!"he blurt out furiously.

"You will now. We are talking about your safety here you don't have to be bull headed."matigas kong sabi.

He is clenching his jaws.

"Don't worry about your company. Boss will assign someone capable of handling your business and company."

"That's bullshit! I can no longer trust it with someone else again!"

"So you don't trust me?"

Hindi siya umimik.

"Tell me if you want to die,i'll kill you myself."inis ko siyang iniwan. All i want is his safety and he fucking argue with that.

I need to breathe and calm my nerves kaya iniwan ko muna siya. I know my care for Kenjiro is beyond a client bodyguard relation and i shouldn't feel  this toward him for it will only ruin my mission of protecting him. This feeling will be a distraction. Look what happen to Franz.

I sighed.

Nakaharap ako sa laptop ko when my eyes landed on a pair of white rubber shoes that is as expensive as the owner.

"Kailan ang alis natin?"halata sa boses ni Ken ang disgusto.

"Mamayang gabi. Kahit wala ka na masyadong dalhin nakahanda na lahat sa pupuntahan natin. Just bring your important things."i answered in a dull voice ng hindi man lang siya tinatapunan ng tingin.

Ipinagpatuloy ko na lang ang ginagawa ko sa laptop ko. Nakuha niya siguro ang mensahe na ayokong makausap siya kaya umalis din siya sa harapan ko. Naiinis pa din ako sa kanya.

Kinagabihan pinasundo kami ni boss sa mga tauhan niya at dinala sa office niya. Sa rooftop ng building ay naghihintay sa amin ang chopper na lululanan namin. Private helicopter ng security agency ang sasakyan namin para mas convenient at hindi masundan ng nagtatangka sa buhay ni Kenjiro.

The pilot landed us somewhere in El Nido Palawan. Nandito kami sa isang resort na may malalaki at modern houses bilang cottages para sa mga turista. Hindi kami sa isang isla dinala nina boss dahil masyado na daw isolated doon at walang signal. Signal is a matter of life and death. Napangisi ako sa isiping iyon. We need the connection.

The helicopter landed on a wide sea shore at umalis din kaagad.

"How long we will stay here?"Kenjiro asked in a stern voice.

"Dunno.."tinalikudan ko na siya. I can't stand the look of his brooding eyes.

"I am still talking to you,don't fucking turn your back at me."he hissed. I stop on my track.

"I believe i already answer your question."i continue to walk away.

Two days had passed. Hindi ko pa din siya pinapansin maliban kung may kailangan siya at importante ang sasabihin. I make myself busy. With my laptop by my side i could be stock in a room like forever pero si Kenjiro...boredom is killing him i think. Lagi siyang nasa dagat and i think its harmless naman. May ikinabit akong tracker sa kwintas niya if ever someone abducted him. Its still early and he's at the shore already.
