Swisher Street Apartments, Sondra's living room

The small click of the apartment door caused Sondra to wrinkle her nose and sigh. She felt so warm and her pillow had never felt so good. The light thump, thump, thump below her ear was reassuring. Sondra snuggled in before giving a slow stretch, and her eyes flew open as a hand dropped onto her shoulder when she moved.

Sondra blinked sleepily and blushed a little as she realized that the "pillow" she had cuddled into was Moe's still bare chest, and she had twined her legs around his as she had turned toward him in sleep. His arm was still around her back, and she was still holding Moe's hand, but now, it rested low on his shirtless stomach.

She quickly looked around the room and gave a sigh a relief that her grandmother wasn't watching her. Then, her eyes went back to watching Moe's tanned face just inches away. She noticed the dark spike that fell across his forehead. His fascinating eyes were hidden behind his closed eyelids, but she was able to see just how long his lashes were. While she was smiling in bemusement, he started to frown, and his forehead wrinkled like he was worried or angry. Moe muttered, "No, don't go," in a worried tone, and his head began to turn, while his muscles tensed.

Sondra didn't know what he was dreaming, but knew it wasn't good. She let go of his hand to give him a small shake as she said his name quietly.

Moe stopped frowning, and sighed, "Sondra." His hand found hers again and flattened it against his chest, right over the heart.

As Moe started to relax again, Sondra thought back to recent lost opportunities and mistaken attempts. Since he was asleep he couldn't pull back at the last minute, and she had time to work up her courage.  The longer she watched him and leaned against his bare chest the less important taking the safe longer route became. She had managed to sort out her family problem. She could let a boy know she liked him. Before she lost her nerve, Sondra shifted closer, and raised herself the last couple inches to lightly kissed Moe's mouth.

This time, he responded immediately. His arm tightened around her back, and pulled her even closer. At the same time his mouth teased hers open and pressed more firmly against her own.

Sondra's hands clenched briefly before flattening against his warm skin. One hand was on the hard muscles of his abs, and the other on his strong shoulder. She finally sympathized with how her mother seemed to be swept away by her feelings so often. Right now, her feelings were overwhelming. It wasn't long before her hands were exploring the chest, shoulder and back muscles that Moe had always hidden from her view, as Moe kissed her passionately.

Within moments she was sprawled more than half across him, and that was when his hands started moving too. One slid under the edge of the shirt she was still wearing, and skittered across the bare skin at her her waist. Moe's other hand slid down her hip and to her knee. In a sudden move, the hand at her knee lifted and shifted her, so that she was straddling him. Then, that hand slid back up her spandex covered leg to curl possessively around her hip and press her tight against him as he ground himself against her core.

The move surprised a gasp out of Sondra. A shiver went through her, and Sondra no longer just felt swept away by her feeling. Now, she felt like she was drowning in new sensations. Her hands slid off of Moe's chest, and rested on his biceps as she started to lean back. With a shiver Sondrs murmured, "Moe?" and sought reassurance as she looked at his face. There was barely time to noticed that Moe's eyes were still closed before Moe's hands were moving again.

The hand at her hip gently squeezed the swell of her hip before sliding across her spandex covered bottom on the way to join his other hand on her bare back. Even though his eyes were still closed, Moe let out a low groan of approval as Sondra gasped and her hands clenched in surprised reaction.

His groan intensified her own pleasure, and her head spun with the sense of power. As she looked down at Moe's face to see if he felt the same way she did, she again noticed his eyes were closed. Her smile faded, and Sondra hesitated. Something was wrong.  This was not the Moe that she knew.  He was moving SO fast. Passion was good, but they hadn't talked their changing relationship. She had expected a few kisses then share feelings and then more kisses. Where was the exchange of feelings?

Instead of slowing down, Moe's hands suddenly slip up her sides to whip his oversized shirt over her head. Sondra had the stray thought that she needed to start wearing clothes that fit, even as her eyes went big with shock. It did no good to tell herself that she was wearing as many clothes as a runner. She automatically clutched the shirt at her wrists and her arms quickly crossed in front of her chest and she blurted out, "MOE!"

When Moe's eyes fluttered open, he caught her gaze, and whispered her name as his mouth formed into a sensual smile. When he blinked and looked around blankly, Sondra finally realized that Moe was just now waking up. He had been half asleep the whole time, and hadn't known what he was doing. Forget accusing him of rushing her and being shocked. No one could be held responsible for what they did while asleep. She was the only one that could be held accountable.

While Sondra was figuring out that he had been dreaming, Moe was gradually realizing what had happened. His sensuous smile faded away to an expression of dismay as his eyes trailed down her body that was barely covered by spandex, crossed arms, and a shirt that he was trying to tug away.

He dropped the shirt like it burned and his hands flew up in the air, but it was the look of disgust that passed over his features, that made Sondra want to cry out in pain.  If Sondra hadn't felt like her heart was breaking, she would have laughed when he didn't seem to know where to put his hands. They actually fluttered in the air before he crossed his arms across his bare chest.

They looked at each other in silence for a fraction of a second before Moe opened his mouth and her heart was no longer just cracking. It felt like it had been torn out of her chest as he stammered desperately, "Sondra, I didn't mean... I would never..."

Unable to hear any more, Sondra cut him off to make her escape. She tried to make it seem casual. With a glance at the clock, she held up a finger, and said, "I need to get ready for work. You can catch up with me there." Then, she had ruined her exit by scrambling madly from his lap, dropping the shirt, hurrying to her room, and slamming the door. After it was shut, she leaned against it as she listened intently.

There was no noise from the other room for what seemed like a long time. After several minutes, she clearly heard when Moe mumbled, "shit." Almost immediately after that, she heard a soft rustle and Moe's footsteps. He crossed over near her door, and paused. For a second, Sondra was afraid he would knock and want to talk to her. Instead, to her relief, he continued across the room, and the hall door clicked shut behind him.

As the hall door clicked shut, a single tear trailed down Sondra's cheek before she wiped it furiously away. She looked into the mirror, and told herself that she just needed a some time to straighten this out. In her heart she wasn't sure that was true, but anything else wasn't worth considering.
