Seymour Dojo and Fitness Center
When Moe rushed in the door, he glanced around the room frantically. Ivan and Terrance were working out, and Korbin was talking to Finn and Samuel near the stairs, but there was no one behind the counter. His heart started thumping even faster until he spotted Sondra chatting and talking with customers. After a few minutes of watching Sondra, his heart finally slowed down to normal.
His mind kept flashing back to the moment he opened his eyes. At first, he had thought his dreams had reached an incredibly realistic level. Too bad that being half asleep made it difficult to think clearly, or he might have noticed the obvious hints that it hadn't been a dream. The real Sondra just didn't react the same way as his dream one. The real one hesitated, said his name in worry instead of passion, and she had tried to stop him.
Moe was ashamed to admit that, for a moment, it had been a real rush to know that it wasn't a dream. However, Sondra's shock face had made it clear just how badly he had screwed up. That was when he had realized exactly where his hands were, and what he was doing. There were memories of her kissing him back, but he didn't dare trust them. All he knew for sure was when he had finally fully woken up, he had been taking her shirt by force. There were words for guys like him, and knowing that she thought of him like that made him want to throw up. He couldn't deny it though, everything was all his fault. His and those damn dreams.
Moe frowned as his eyes continued to track Sondra's movements. She had never run from his before, but that was exactly what she had done earlier. Not that he blamed her. She might never trust him again, and he didn't know how to make things right with her. Just what would that apology sound like? "I'm sorry I stripped your shirt off, grabbed you, and kissed you like that?" That wasn't even true. To his shame, his hands still tingled with the memory of her smooth skin and firm curves. Banishing those memories was difficult, but there were more important things to think of. After all, he desperately wanted to make sure she was okay. Even though everything in him screamed it's objection, it would probably be better if he dropped his plan completely and just hoped she was willing to let still be her friend. If she didn't want to even accept his friendship he didn't know what he would do, but he would even understand.
After the recent problems and her need for an escort the last week, he had panicked when she had left for work on her own. Now that he knew she was safe, he decided to give her space while he tried to figure out what to say. That was when Moe realized that he was blocking the door. After another quick scan of the dojo, he joined Korbin in leaning against the wall.
They stayed there in silence. Eventually, Moe remembered why Korbin was dressed up instead of working out. Korbin and Jamie were going on their first real date. No wonder Korbin seemed distracted.
Before Moe could figure out what to say, he spotted Samuel and Finn working their way over. Samuel was hanging back, but Finn was almost bouncing with excitement. Korbin ignored them, as he stared toward the spot that Jamie might appear. Moe just hoped that they wouldn't try to tease Korbin too much. He was wound so tight that there no way to predict how he would respond.
However, as they approached, Finn's grin widened with delight when he looked at Moe, not Korbin. Something was up, and, with a grin, Moe prepared himself to be distracted from his Sondra problems.
Finn waited until he was close enough to speak quietly, before he winked and said, "Congratulations."
"What for?" Moe asked warily.
There was a pause for dramatic effect and Finn's eyes were dancing as he explained, "I stopped by your place today to get details on what happened last night. Imagine my surprise to find out that you were next door. The coach and I talked for a few minutes at the doorway. I didn't go in, but I didn't need to go in to see."
