"I'm sorry, ok?!"

Eun Woo followed his best friend like a lost puppy, genuinely repenting his deed.

"Jungkook-ah~" A cute pouty whine which was successful at making the said guy to stop in his tracks.

A proud smile appeared on Eun Woo's lips, eagerly waiting for Jungkook to turn around.

"I'm sorry. I was just being protective. You know all the rumors about that guy and him coming and asking about your whereabouts made me-"

Eun Woo took the cue of shutting his lips when Jungkook turned around, brows knitted together in annoyance.

"Sorry." Eun Woo squeaked.

Jungkook let out a sigh, seeing his friend's sad frown.

He knew why the guy reacted the way he did. They have been friends since middle school and bullies always picked on Jungkook so it was natural for Eun Woo to act protective. Jimin came as a salt to that fact, too.

Eun Woo was pulled into a warm hug which made his knees go weak, a warm smile following suit.

"Thank you." Jungkook mumbled by his ear. "Thank you for always standing up for me."

The smile on Eun Woo's face stretched up more. "Always, bro!"

"But!" Jungkook pulled back, his hands on Eun Woo's shoulders. "You need to control. What if he really wanted some business? You don't know?!"

"What business will that punk have with you?" Eun Woo rolled his eyes and guess he found his brain back there. "Did you guys had some business that I don't know about?"

Jungkook was taken aback. His hands slowly leaving the broad shoulders.

"N-no. What business would I have with him? We never met before!" He stuttered all along making his friend to narrow his eyes at him.

"I didn't ask if you've met him~" Eun Woo tilted his head taking a step forward.

Jungkook gulped nervously looking anywhere but his friend's suspicious eyes.

"Th-that..." He gulped.

"Anyway, stay away from him. You already know that he is bad news." Eun Woo butted in shrugging everything off. "Let's go for lunch."

Jungkook sighed in relief as Eun Woo started walking ahead of him towards the cafeteria.

That was close.
