Chapter 1 - Don't let them take me

Shary's Pov
Standing infront of my dad, I hesitated to ask if he was going to send me to those evil men. I grimaced with intense pain in my heart.

When I saw his expression changing, I felt like he stabbed my heart breaking it into pieces.

Flash back
I heard some noises coming from outside our house.
"I can't give you my daughter, she is all I have. Please sir don't take her away from me please sir " I heard my dad pleading with so much sadness in his voice.

My father was on his knees pleading two men in black suit. Their faceses were covered with a mask, so I couldn't recognize any of them. In other to avoid making even the slightest noise,

I hid myself behind a barrel of water who was large enough to hide my tinny body.

"Please sir my daughter is all I have. I can't live without her" my father said , sounding helpless.

"Sir we are just coming here to follow orders from our boss. Since as you don't want my boss industry to be built on this land, then you should give him what he wants in other to cover up the money he has lost in this project even though we all know that girl is not worth the money our boss lost in this project" the man said in a cold tone and expressed no emotions.

"You all will go into the woods if you don't give us that girl" the other one added.

"Please Sam,
give your daughter and save us all please just do it. We will all be home less if you don't " one of the villagers pleaded.

After a moment of silence, my dad took in a long breathe and looked at the men slightly raising his eye left eye brown

"Please promise me you will take very good care of her" my dad was really going crazy. What was he saying? No word could really describe how I felt right now.

The men looked at each other in surprise before heading straight into the house. I was certain they were searching for me

"Where is the girl?" one of the men asked furiously looking and my dad.
"We search every where but couldn't find her, where are you hiding her?" the only emotions this man showed was anger and rage. He roughly removed his maske in anger, I gasp at the man's face when I saw a big scar running straight from his forehead to the top of his month. He looked scary, he roughly pin my father's back to the wall and grabbed his neck.

" I won't repeat myself, WHERE IS THE GIRL! !!!!!!" I slightly jumped in fear hearing his husky voice who scared the hell out of me but what scared me even more was my dad's reaction, he smirked at the angry beast " if you want the girl, then find her" my dad manage to talk even when his neck was still in that man's grip.

Hearing that, panic and terror took over me " better run for your life" I heard my inner mind speaking which made me run as fast as I could before stepping on a dry leaf after taking just 7 long steps. The strange men turn towards the sound.

The scary looking man gripped my wrist before I could take 3 more steps.
"How can he run this fast?" I asked myself felling terrified. He held my wrist so hard that blood couldn't pass through my hand anymore , making me whimper in pain.

" leave me alone " I screamed with tears running down my cheeks I looked at my dad with preading eyes as he walk towards me.

End of flash back

" dad please don't let them take me please. These men are scary please don't let them take me" Tears were running down my cheeks and I could see my dad crying too

Seeing her in the hands of those men, Shary's father could do no other thing than cry.

" go with them dear. They will take good care of you." he said coming close to me taking my head into his hands and looking straight into my eyes

" there is this rich man that wants you to live with him for a while but I promise that you will be back soon. But if you don't go with them, they will destroy our village and we will have no where to live"

Shary's worst mistake was to believe her father. She went into the house and got few things and followed the men but kept looking at her dad and the other villagers who were standing there looking at her as if she was going for some suicide mission.

"Please dad promise you will come find me" I said raising up my index finger.

He knobbed his head in approval. Seeing this, I got into the luxurious car that was parked infront of the house but didn't stop looking at my dad. Looking outside, I felt warm tears dripping on my arm

I looked behind me and all the things and people I was leaving behind but what comforted me was that my dad assured me I will go there and see some man who will live with me for a while and after that, my dad will come back looking form me.

I was so lost in my thought that I didn't notice when the car stopped. Reality came back to me when another man in black suit opened the door and told me we had arrived already.

I gasp at the beauty of the place. I had never seen such a big house before . It was like a palace, exactly like those I usually saw in movies, there were many of this men in black suits all around. I wondered if every one here had to wear that.

One of the men asked me to follow him into the house, he offered me a seat and I accepted, admiring the beauty of this house . The soft chair made me gasp as my butts got in contact with it. The house was just so beautiful and I could never imagine that such houses really did existed. The suffers were white and there was lot of sunlight entering the house since the windows were almost transparent.

I sat down really wondering why this men's boss wanted me to live here for a while.

"He surly have no kids" I thought to myself.

"But why will he threaten the people of my village for this."

All this thoughts were running through my mind and I decided to stop thinking in order not to go crazy from all these thoughts .

I smiled at myself when the thought of spending a good holiday came into my mind but couldn't wait to go back home to see my Dad and all my friends because I was missing them already.
