By the time Saturday came, she was buzzing with excitement. She had been counting down the days and it was finally here. She had wondered what he would have planned – trying to coax him to give her a hint. She tried guessing games but his answer came in the form of a secretive smile. On one hand it was incredibly infuriating to be oblivious, but on the other hand the mystery played up her excitement.

On Friday, she had discussed the date at lengths with Emily on one of their recent phone conversation. Emily had advised her to enjoy the date to the fullest and try not to worry too much about semantics; worrying would spoil the fun anyways. So she continued on with work and tried to put it on the back of her mind although that attempt was mostly futile.

That morning, she had awoken to the smell of bacon and eggs. Bizarrely, the bed was empty sans the fully-equipped breakfast tray on Jamie's side of the bed. There was a spread of food, some savory and some mouthwateringly-sweet, decorated by a vase of hydrangeas. To finish it all off, there was a cup of coffee still warm – which meant he had prepared it not too long ago – and a tall glass of orange juice. A note in his brisk handwriting caught her eye as she dug into the eggs.

"Mornings are wonderful. Its only drawback is that it comes at such an inconvenient time of day."

Eat up, long day ahead. I'll be back before you know it. Get ready as soon as you finish with breakfast.

A broad smile took up a permanent spot on her face as she read the note and it stayed with her through breakfast and as she got ready. She dressed in something appropriate for the colder weather since the temperature had dropped significantly the night before. As she brushed out her hair, she heard a noise from the front door before she heard his voice.

"Johnson? I hope you're done getting ready," he called out.

She continued on brushing her hair, adding finishing touches to her makeup. She was about to call out a response when he came into the room. She caught sight of him from the vanity mirror, he was already dressed for the day. He wore a cashmere sweater and black pants, looking way too sexy for someone who covered up all their skin with fabric. She felt a growing sensation inside her, one she came to recognize as arousal. Inwardly she groaned. Nowadays, she couldn't look at Jamie – even fully dressed – without being aroused. Oddly enough, that could be attributed to her growing sex-drive that had gone up to astronomical level since they had gotten together. All she wanted to do was for him to kiss her senseless and proceeded with their favorite activities under the sheets, their planned outing be damned.

He seemed to understand what she was thinking because he sent her a taunting smile with a shake of his head from the mirror. "No, stop looking at me like that. We're going out today so get your mind out of the gutter this instant."

She schooled her expression into one of innocence. "What expression?"

He walked over to her then, standing exactly behind her as she sat in front of the vanity, their gazes still connected. The atmosphere in the room changed in an instant. Gone was the playfulness in his eyes as the room crackled with their desire. "Nice try." He put both of his hands on her shoulder, lowering his body so he could whisper in her ear. "You look stunning."

Her smile grew. She picked up her hair brush once again, brushing down her hair as she kept their eye contact. "You sure we have to go out this morning?" She tilted her head back, resting her head against his chest. The movement gave him a good view of her unadorned neck which seemed to catch his attention. While some men were crazy about butts and breasts – Jamie too, if she was being particular – but she also noticed he had a thing about necks.
