I had to admit that I looked very pretty for school. Tommy had the maids pick out my outift and help me with my hair. I looked at my refelction in the mirror and smiled sadly as I prayed school would be fun but I knew I'd be wrong in every way.

With a heavy sigh I went over to my desk then picked up my bag, I slid my 'Romeo and Juliet' book into my bag so I could read it at lunch time if I was alone, I slid the bag onto my back and headed out my room then down stairs to Tommy's study.

Last night was actually really nice. We finished dinner then Tommy went to check on Charlie making sure he was okay then together we went out to the fields and we got the three horses in, then we sat in his study while he did his paper work and I read my book and after a while Tommy asked me to read out loud to help him work... Not sure how me talking was helping but he finished his paper work pretty quickly then I had a bath and Tommy put me to bed.

I gently tapped the study door-

*KNOCK**KNOCK*

I waited for an answer...

"Come in Primrose," Tommy called.

I frowned as I walked in. "How did you know it was me?" I asked in confusion.

"The maids knock then enter where as you knock and wait, you have better manners," He told me not looking up from his paper work.

I nodded then cleared my throat making Tommy look up at me. "So how do I look for my first day?" I asked nervously. "Good enough to be a Shelby?"

Tommy stood up. "Lift your chin up a bit and don't look so nervous," He told me and I did as I was told. "There, that's it. Walk and stand like that, be proud and fearless, that's the face of a Shelby."

I smiled a little. "Are you going to walk me in?" I asked.

"Of course, your Teacher needs to see who your Father is!" Tommy stated as he shrugged his coat on. "Now remember you must do as you are told, listen to your Teacher, make friends and stay away from boys!"

I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Okay," I giggled. "I can take care of myself, boys are like donkeys!"

"Aye?" Tommy asked.

I smiled. "Boys are like donkeys, only good for work," I stated making Tommy chuckle quietly.

"Come on," He told me.

Together we both walked out the house and into the motorcar. Tommy fired up the engine as I smoothed out my dress, he patted my knee then drove down the drive and onto the main road passing riders and people walking, I relaxed into the seat watching the world go by, breathing in the fresh air, it wasn't long before we entered Small Heath driving through the small streets.

Tommy drove to the bottom of a street where many children were, they all went into a large school, all the children were different, they all wore different styled clothing and I felt a little over dressed.

Tommy got out the car first, he came round to my side the helped me out the car and we walked into the school with my chin up like Tommy said; I did want him to be proud to have me as his child so I had to hide my nervous.

"Mister Shelby it's a pleasure to meet you," A man in a suit greeted sticking his hadn out.

Tommy shook his hand. "Good morning Mister Matthews," He greeted. "This is my daughter Primrose Shelby."

Mister Matthews looked down at me. "It's lovley to meet you Miss Shelby, your Father has spoken very highly of you," He told.

I looked up at Tommy in surprise. "She's a diamond," Tommy stated. "She's very intelligent, loves to read, write, draw and she has wonderful manners. I hope you will look after my first born."
