"You've been sucking on that damn cigarette all day, why don't you light it up?" Namjoon raised an eyebrow at a short, yet older young man that stood behind him.

"They call me Sledgehammer. What do they call you?"

"Last night someone called me a pussy." Namjoon made the prisoner laugh. He swung his arm around Namjoon, making him tense up.

"So, rumor has it that you're the new guy, aren't ya?" His cocky attitude came off as rude to Namjoon at first, but he soon learned that that's how most if not all of the prisoners talk in this jail.

"That's right. I'm Kim Namjoon."

"You'll earn a new name soon. What are you in for?" The man seemed very annoying, yet oddly nice at the same time. Aside from that, he was very clingy.

Namjoon hates clingy people. The one person who was allowed to cling onto him was Jin, and Jin only.

"Murder..." Each time he admitted his crime, Namjoon felt his sanity slowly fade away and turn into anxiety and anger.

The amount of regret he felt was intense and growing as time went by.

"WOAH, WE HAVE A BADASS IN THE BUILDING. HEY, GANG! HE MURDERED SOMEONE!" Namjoon's reason to not trust anyone at first sight remained superior and this is exactly why: Because of people like 'Sledgehammer'.

He hates obnoxiously loud people, but aside from obnoxious, a tattletale as well? It looks like Namjoon hit the lottery for finding one of the most annoying prisoners ever.

In a matter of seconds, a swarm of prisoners gathered around Namjoon, impolitely greeting him.

"Who did you kill? Was it your wife? Your kids? Your dog?" Another nosey prisoner asked.

Namjoon shook his head in denial. None of the things that man listed were even close to who Namjoon killed.

"A man. You murdered a man! Who was it." Their questions multiplied by the minute and grew louder in Namjoon's head, like when he has a song on full blast with his ear buds; yet he prefers the pain of the booming music over prisoners any day.

"Fourteen!" A stranger shouted from afar, exposing Namjoon.

"He killed fourteen men. I heard it loud and clear from his own mouth." All of the men where stunned.

"Damn, you legitimately killed fourteen people? For real?" Namjoon rubbed his elbow, looking down at the ground as he shamefully nodded.

The amount of wow's and oh's echoed around the cafeteria. Suddenly, a loud whistle was blown and the prisoners began to head back to their cells.

"You should hang around us more often." Before the gang that was surrounding Namjoon headed back to their cells, they offered Namjoon their friendship.

As much as the boy didn't want to be friends with a group of old men with tattoos from head to toe, he wasn't really given an option.

After all, it's better to be friends than to be enemies, so he accepted their friendship as he dragged the heavy chains beneath his legs back to his cell alongside Chulmoon.

The cops had chained their prisoners again after lunch time was over, and in order to bring them back to their cells without getting attacked by any of them, they had to put those tight and heavy chains on them.

Namjoon didn't have the strength to walk normally, on top of his weakness, he had to drag these heavy metal chains beneath him which gave him pain all over his muscles.

The minute he returned to his cell with Chulmoon, he rested his tired and worn out body on top of the cold bed.

His legs were throbbing from the immense amount of pain he had to endure when dragging the chains around.

Before he could say anything else, he found himself drifting off into a troublesome sleep.

Hours after Namjoon woke up, his nose started wiggling. He was sniffing the tray of food that was next to him on the floor.

"You're awake? Good. Eat up before it gets cold." Chulmoon said, handing him the tray.

Namjoon smiled, halfheartedly at the prisoner. He suddenly dropped the tray of food the moment Namjoon sat up, horrified at the sight of him.

"Are you okay?" Namjoon got up, concerned about his friend's sudden reaction.

"Your... Your shirt."

"What about it? It's the same as yours, is it not?" He looked down and that's when he saw the problem.

"I'm bleeding?" There was a circle of blood formed around Namjoon's suit, about the size of his hand.

He remembered when he was beaten up by the gangsters.

The solid hits he had received to his stomach caused him the injuries, but it wasn't just because of them...

When he was defending Jin against his uncle, the adult kicked him beneath his lower abdomen. Namjoon never had time to attend to his wound because of what happened with Jin afterwards, yet he should have.

Now he had an open wound that wouldnt stop bleeding. The cops arrived and found him.

They took Namjoon to the nursery for him to get the urgent medical attention he needed.

Although Jin wasn't talking to his parents, called up Namjoon's just to see how they were doing.

"Good morning, Mrs. Kim. How are you?" He heard a sigh on the other line.

"You can only imagine, dear. I'm shattered..." The sigh was then followed by soft cries. Jin shut his eyes, holding back his own tears when talking to Namjoon's mother.

"But tell me... How have you been?" She asked.

"If only she knew..." Jin thought before answering.

"Strong. I've been trying to- to be strong, Mrs. Kim." He didn't want to mask his feelings, but he didn't want to release them all on Namjoon's mom. That woman is probably suffering just as much, if not more than Jin.

"Oh, sweetheart. I don't know what to tell you. All I can say is that I'm here for you. My son will come out of there. We'll do whatever if takes to help him, I won't give up!"

Jin agreed with her. Neither him or anyone else will lose hope in Namjoon.

"Mrs. Kim, can I tell you something about Namjoon?" He heard the woman hum in response, so Jin parted his lips and began to speak, hoping not to choke on his words.

"Him and I... Him and I are together, Mrs. Kim." Expecting to be disappointed and yelled at by Namjoon's mom as well, just like his parents did before, Jin braced for whatever was heading his way.

As he squinted his eyes, shutting them tightly. Her answer left Jin speechless.

"Oh Jinnie, I've known that for a while now. You two make such a cute couple!"
