Jin's POV:
I extended my leg, moving around in the bed. My body felt oddly colder than it did before.
The hospital bed felt uncomfortable and very... Spacious?
"He's gone." Namjoon wasn't by my side anymore.
I panicked, turning my head every which way. No one was in the room.
There was an absolute deafening silence in me after a while. I began talking to myself, just to make noise in the deserted room.
"Jinnie didn't have a dream. Jinnie isn't dreaming! Joonie has to be here... He has to be."
My nerves were exposing the inner third person inside of me.
Just as I attempted to get off of the bed, a man walked into the room.
"Oh, you're up!" A doctor happily smiled at me. He was kind of handsome looking for his age.
"Hello." I greeted him.
"How are you feeling?" He stood in front of me, rubbing hand sanitizer around his long fingers.
"I'm doing much better, Doctor." I smiled, widely.
The doctor knew I was lying when I began to complain about the bruises I had on my arms.
"You don't have to lie, Jin. But what you have to do is take this ointment to help sooth and eliminate your pain. Here's the prescription." I took the small paper off of his hands, thanking him.
"So, can I leave now?" I asked, hoping his answer would be yes.
"As for leaving... Well, how do you feel?" A door suddenly opened, revealing a man I knew very well.
He was holding a bag of fast food in one hand, and an adorable wolf plush toy on the other.
My ears perked up the moment I saw him, my tail began to wiggle from side to side, uncontrollably.
He excused himself to walk towards me, greeting the doctor casually.
His soft, warm coat hung loose on him as it moved around his body from side to side, shifting every now and then.
"JOONIE!" I shouldn't have gotten up so fast, but I did and as a result of doing so, I got the worst whiplash ever.
My vision darkened as I noticed tiny, dark particles floating around.
The little squiggles disappeared, when my vision cleared up, allowing me to see the most handsome man in front of me, holding me tightly.
"Be careful, sweetie-" I looked at both Namjoon and my doctor who had spoken at the same time.
Coincidence, right?
I laughed, slightly, then adjusted myself up.
"Woah, there! Not so fast." When Namjoon handed me my clothes, the doctor stopped him.
"He can't leave just yet. Jin, I need to run a few tests on you." Namjoon and I found it odd, especially since the doctor hadn't mentioned that I would need any tests done, but he is the doctor.
He knows best. I lay back down on the bed, yet the man tensed up.
"No need to stay on the bed. There's no need. Just follow me- Oh, and your friend must stay here, alright?" I was about to agree, but Namjoon didn't.
"I'm his part-time caregiver, Doctor. He needs me to be by his side." Why is Namjoon lying? Does he not trust me on my own?
"Oh, really? A young man like you taking care of an older, stronger guy, huh?"
"I'll be fine on my own. Let's go, please." The doctor and I exited the room as Namjoon left behind us.
He stayed in the waiting room while I followed the doctor down a hallway.
Halfway down the dark hallway, my dizziness returned and the squiggles came back.
"Please wait a moment, I'm very dizzy." I reached my hand out and accidentally placed it on the doctor's chest. The doctor wrapped his arm around my waist and slowly helped me walk into an exam room.
"Are you feeling okay?" He asked me.
"Yes, I'm fine."
"Okay. Now I'm just going to take a few X-rays of your body to check for any fractures." I nodded as he put an apron over me to protect me against the radiation of the machines.
"Step up in here please, put your hands like this." I leaned forward as he took the first X-ray.
The next one gave me a little bit of trouble understanding.
No matter how simple and easy it looked, I was having a hard time figuring it out.
"How do I do this?" I giggled, furrowing my eyes at the machine.
The doctor stepped forward, holding my arms up in the air.
"Spread your legs apart." My face was about to explode, feeling a heatwave wash over me, tinting it a light shade of red.
"Like... This?" He nodded, keeping my hands in his soft grip.
"A little bit more. Reach these two ends." I kept on separating my legs to a point where I couldn't anymore.
"Wow, you're very flexible." The doctor retreated, slowly letting my hands go.
I unknowingly let my hands drop, making him return.
"No baby, keep them in the air like this." My body went numb hearing the man's voice.
"What did you just call me?"
