After a brief conversation with his parents, Jin hung up feeling relieved. They had come to their senses and accepted his sexuality, but the boy wasn't ready to go back to them just yet.

And Chanyeol wasn't planning on letting him go either. His friend convinced him to stay for at least one more night.

Jin couldn't say no to him, not after how kind he's been to him. Chanyeol has been his only hope. The one who's taken him to see Namjoon, the one who's fed him and opened his doors to Jin when no one else would.

He couldn't leave just like that, he was very grateful to Chanyeol. When he made it back to
the boy's apartment, Jin was unsure of what to do but his friend knew what he needed.

"You should rest, you had a rough day today and you've barely even slept. I'll help you get there." He held onto Chanyeol's arm while slowly heading towards the bedroom he was staying in.

The bed was very soft and comfortable for Jin's back. Unlike the hospital beds he's slept in before. This bed was more cushioned than his own, healing his back pain the past few
days that he's been there.

Chanyeol noticed how Jin kept trying to embrace something in his arms.

"You can hold onto m-" When Jin made eye contact with Chanyeol, the cat froze in place.

"My pillow! Here, let me just grab it." Just as he was about to leave, Jin pulled him onto the bed and buried his face into his chest.

Chanyeol supported his friend by brushing his hair gently while he let his emotions out onto his clothing.

Jin silently cried, feeling his tears slightly tickle the tip of his reddened nose as they fell.

For the next twenty minutes, Jin spent them holding onto Chanyeol while crying over Namjoon.

The painful and traumatizing images of seeing Namjoon's bloodstained jumpsuit was still
haunting Jin, with the growing pain in his chest from squeezing it consecutively when sobbing continuously.

He couldn't find grief anywhere. His sanity was slowly starting to fade away, becoming paranoia.

Now he didn't even want Chanyeol to leave his side with the fear of losing his only friend as well, the same way he lost Namjoon.

Chanyeol eventually got up to answer a knock on the door, leaving Jin alone for a few minutes while he headed downstairs to answer it.

Jin had a slight fear of strange knocking on wooden doors. It's a fear he's had ever since the day Namjoon's uncle first attempted to rape him.

~~~
"Sir, t-the kitchen is that way. Why are you taking Jinnie here?"
He remembers the sound of the bathroom door slowly creaking open as the adult man attempted to push him into the darkness.
"Jinnie doesn't want to go in there."
"Argh!! You brat! Get back here!" Jin heard a loud knock coming near the bathroom. His parents found him moments later when they walked into the house thinking that he was alone.
The knock was so loud that Jin thought Namjoon's uncle was going to rip his leg off because of how hard he pulled at it.
~~~

When Chanyeol returned back to the room to check on Jin, he panicked when he found the fox was shaking underneath the bedsheets.

"What happened? Did you see a bug somewhere??" Jin was frightened by Chanyeol's voice at first, so he flinched when the boy pat him on the back.

"It's nothing." He shook the dark thoughts out of his head, knowing that he was safe and far away from Namjoon's uncle.

But it also dawned on him that he was still far away from Namjoon as well, and that thought terrified him.

Yes, he did feel safe living with Chanyeol. But yet, Jin still misses the warmth and safety Namjoon's arms would provide him with.

"Are you sure you're okay and that you were just cold?" Jin nodded, faking a smile.

He hated to lie, but he didn't have to explain his whole back story to Chanyeol. He already knew half of it, he didn't need to know about it all.

Jin only shared his secrets with the people he trusted the most and that included his parents and Namjoon only.

"My friends are here. They came to visit me... I think you should come out and meet them! It'll do you good." His friend suggested. It took Jin a lot of courage and energy to say yes, but he agreed on meeting Chanyeol's acquaintances just out of curiousity and in order to calm his nerves down.

When he made it downstairs, a small group of boys kept on staring at Jin weirdly.

The way Chanyeol was holding him by the waist and helping him walk seemed odd to them, but soon a smile appeared on their faces.

Excitement filled the room when Chanyeol's friends startled him and Jin with the loud sounds of clapping.

"Why are you doing that?" Jin asked.

"Guys, what's with the cheering? Did I miss something?" Chanyeol also asked.

The boys were happier than ever, but Jin and Chanyeol still didn't know why.

One of them suddenly spoke.

"Congratulations!!" They hugged Jin, leaving him more confused than ever.

"You're lucky, Channie!" With more details added into their excitement, Chanyeol and Jin
were starting to get somewhat of an idea of what the boys were talking about, but they still had no clue of what was going on and why they were celebrating something out of nowhere.

"I'm lucky? How? You know how much bad luck I always get." Chanyeol nervously laughed as Jin hid behind him.

The shy fox has that habit of hiding behind others when around strangers.

"Oh, don't fake it. You know what we're talking about." One of his friend's teased.

"Fake what?" Their friends stared at each other, laughing.

"You two are dating!!" They finally announced.

"WHAT!?!"
