Over the course of ten days, Jin has been healing. Slowly, but surely, his physical injuries and open wounds have closed up and his stitches were taken out yesterday, so that made the fox feel more optimistic.

He's still limping and can't walk for more than an hour without feeling a slight pain from below where his stitches were taken out from. It's been ten days since he hasn't seen his lover, Kim Namjoon.

That name Jin's mentioned a thousand times in his head, is the name that goes to sleep with him at night and is the first thing he thinks about in the morning.

Namjoon has stayed in touch with him through his device, and the man also calls him at night. He listens to his voice while hugging his pillow, wishing the pillow were Namjoon.

The doctor did all of the tests necessary to determine if Jin could speak again. When the man sat down to talk to his parents and told them that their son's chances in ever talking were all gone, was the day that Jin lost all hope of anything and everything.

He cried to a point where he could no longer produce tears within his eyes. No matter how much of a bright and optimistic boy Jin has always been, that day he couldn't be anything but sad and depressed about the loss of his voice.

Today he was texting with Namjoon, lying down on his bed with casual clothing on. His mother had invited the guy who helped Jin get home when he was released from the hospital.

She thought he was a good influence on Jin, and he came from a very kindhearted family.

"He's here, sweetie." His mother helped him downstairs to greet his friend.

He enjoyed his presence. He was kind, adorable, shorter than him but not a big difference in height, and he makes him laugh a lot.

"Hi Jinnie, how are you feeling?" The guy asked, stepping in while taking his shoes off.

Jin reached for his phone to text his answer to him.

"I'm much better. Look Channie, I can even walk better than before!" He texted, smiling at the cat while his eyes widened with joy.

"I'm so happy for you." Jin texted his friend, Chanyeol, and asked if he wanted to go upstairs with him.

The guy nodded, hiding his hands in his pockets when going upstairs. He was slightly cold because of the weather outside.

"It's very windy outside. And the sky looks dark and gloomy." He frowned, sitting down on Jin's bed.

Jin held his phone, typing out his answer. "Yes. I was watching the news this morning and they said it was going to rain with a slight chance of thunderstorms, but hopefully not."

"I hope not. Channie scared of storms." The cat also speaks in third person like Jin does sometimes. Hybrids tend to do that due to their nicknames being overly used, they get used to calling themselves by their own nicknames rather than using the terms "I" or "me" in their sentences.

"It's okay. Want to hear a joke to make you feel less scared?" Chanyeol shook his head in agreement.

A smile appeared on Jin's face as he squinted his eyes at the screen. When he finished typing something out, he turned his phone over and showed his message to Chanyeol.

"What's this? "What do you call a couple of clouds separating?" I don't know. What?" He gave Jin his cell phone back and waited for the boy to type out his answer.

Jin: [Scattered Showers!] When the long eared cat read the fox's message, he started to laugh. His laughter brought a smile to Jin's face, but a frown deep down inside of his chest seeing his friend laugh while he couldn't even hum.
