"You rasa Teng to notice I tak?"
"Maksud you?"
"Well, you know how I really feels about him kan? You rasa dia rasa tak apa yang I rasa?"
"If you ask me, I don't think so. Honestly speaking. Sebab if he does, dia lama dah escalate something with you doh."
"You think so?"
"I know so. Chill lah. You muda lagi. Plus kan you guys sendiri yang declare relationship korang ni platonic. Takda apa lah. Kumbang pun bukan sekor lah, Jules!"
"Hahahaha. I malas lah nak layan hati dan perasaan I ni. Jom lah. Mother tunggu dekat Dip n Dip."

DIP N DIP - with Mother.

"Mother. Sorry lambat. Tadi Jules ada lunch dengan Teng and Malis. I brought Far along. Lupa nak bagitahu."
"Its okay darling. Hello, Farrish. How are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks for ask. You look gorgeous today. Kenapa Mother makin hari makin lawa? Makan jamu apa?"
"Hahahaha merepek je kerja you. Mother tak makan jamu pun. Mother eat clean je. Lepastu get plenty of rest. How's store?"
"Okay je Mother. Pagi tadi takda staff, so Far yang jaga tadi."

Aku membiarkan mereka berdua berbual sambil membelek menu disitu.

"Mother, what is everything so sweet here?"
"You ni dah kenapa darling. Takkan Dip N Dip nak jual karipap pulak. Ke nak tukar tempat?"
"Sokay lah. I'm fine here. You guys go ahead and talk. I nak pergi Starbucks beli coffee. You want anything?"
"I'm all set, darling."
"Far?"
"Its okay. I'm full. You go, I teman Mother kay?"
"Suits yourself. Tunggu tau."

Aku berlalu pergi meninggalkan mereka.

"Far. How's her and everything?"
"Jules? Dia okay je. Cuma biasalah. Sejak Teng dengan Malis, dia banyak keep everything with herself. Dia jarang cakap dah banyak dulu. She smokes a lot too."
"I noticed. Mother taktahu lah nak cakap mana dengan dia tu. Sometimes, she just simply get drunk dekat rumah and put herself to sleep. Esok tu, hangover lah apa lagi."
"Dia banyak makan hati dengan Teng kot. Yela, Mother tahu kan diorang tu macam mana dulu. Macam orang dah kahwin. Melekat je 24 jam. Pantang ada masa, ada tempat jalan."
"I know. Mother pernah la cakap dengan dia, don't take everything personally. He might just want to be inside your pants je. But then she ignored my advice."
"Takpe lah Mother. I'll try my best to look after her. Don't worry okay?"

"Hi, welcome to Starbucks. What can I get for you today?"
"Hello. Well, let's see. Can I get Iced Shaken Americano with triple shots of espresso? Grande please."
"Alright then. Can I get your name?"
"Its Jules. Spell as J-U-L-E-S. Jules."
"Alright Miss Jules. One Iced Shaken Americano coming up to you. That will be RM 13.90"
"You can just wave it. *passed the card"
"Alright thank you."

Aku beralih ke kaunter hujung untuk pick-up. Sambil menunggu, aku membelek telefon bimbit. Saja-saja meneliti Instagram, melihat stories yang dipost.

"Iced Shaken Americano for Miss Jules!"
"Thats me. Thank you!"
"You're most welcome. Errr Miss?"
"Ye saya?"
"Can I get your phone number?"
"Why should I give my phone number to you?"
"You mungkin tak notice I, tapi I used to sit behind you during Calculus 1 class last year."
"Kejap. Your name?"
"Shawn. Full name is Shawn Tan Derek."
"Ohhhh you're the one who used to help me during the first assesment! Keciknya dunia!"
"Oh you ingat! I thought you lupa terus."

"Macam mana aku boleh tak ingat dia? Tunggu sekejap. Seingat aku, dia tak macam ni dulu."

Aku laju menekan butang aplikasi Facebook dan mencari nama beliau pada butang carian. Aku meneliti satu persatu gambar dia.

"Oh. My. Goodness. He is so damn fine sekarang! Dulu selekehnyaaaa aduhai. Now look at him. Jeez. This is so my type."

Aku belek sekali lagi gambar Shawn.

"Shit. Mother."

Aku terus berlari menuju ke escalator terdekat. Risau nanti Mother marah kerana aku terlalu lama meninggalkan dia.

"I am so fucking sorry Mother for........"
"Language darling!"
"I'm sorry Mother, I lambat."
"Its okay. I need to rush back to office sebab nak ambil some documents and I got dinner tonight with clients. Far, do you mind?"
"Alamak, Mother. I need to rush home jugak, sebab janji dengan Mom and Dad nak dinner sama."
"Whoa whoa it's okay guys. I can take Grab back home. Plus my car dekat campus. I just ambil Grab pergi sana je la. I'll see you at home then, Mother. Thanks Far for today!"

Aku tersenyum lebar. Aku cium dahi Mother dan berlalu pergi.

"Come on, Jules. You better get your shit together. Shawn is far more better than Teng. Lets ask him for dinner."
