Unfortunately, it was the time I dreaded. Two Disney movies, a popcorn fight, and so much junk food that I'll probably get diabetes later, it was time for the real reason I came here.
I was currently walking up the stairs following Nick to his room. It was on the 3rd floor of the house, meaning I was breathing hard already. "Really Cristole," he chuckled under his breathe at my low stamina. I'm really not the athletic type.
We stopped at a lime green painted door with the words Nick painted neatly across it. He opened the door and motioned for me to come inside. After following behind me he shut the door. I stood with my mouth agape taking in the beauty of this room.
A large bed that was built into the floor sat in the middle of the room that was most likely bigger than my living room. Above that bed was a painting of sunset. In one of the corners sat a large white desk. In front of the king size bed sat 5 large bean bags, a tv, and 3 different game consoles. In the corner across from the dress was a door that lead to a bathroom. Everything was extremely neat and was in place besides a few things.
"Wow," I said releasing a breathe I didn't know I was holding. " Yep," he said making his way toward the bed. He feet made thuds as he stepped on the stairs surrounding the bed and fell onto it. He patted the space next to him motioning for me to sit.
"It's clean right?"
He laughed at my bluntness ,but nonetheless nodded his head. After I mimicked his actions, we were seated across from each other. I was fiddling with my thumbs gathering my thoughts while he gathered his.
"Why do you flinch when someone makes sudden contact with you?" he asked first after a very tense silence.
"Everyone flinches, at least a little." I replied giving him as little information as possible.
"Normal people don't drop to the ground when they flinch." He stated sternly.
"Didn't we go over this? I'm. Not. Normal. I don't do things other people do, but if I do, it may or may not be exaggerated." I stated pissed. Who is he to put his incredibly sculpted nose in my business, but then again I had no choice . How could you say no to a shirtless hot guy straddling you?
"Yea but you only do it when you think in going to hit you." He stated calmly. I held my gaze down. I don't need anyone else to know about my life behind the scenes. "Look at me," he ordered gently. When I ignored his command, he put his fingers under my chin and made me look up. "Cristole, I'll never hurt you." he said while looking straight the my eyes. I really wanted to believe him. The sincerity
In his voice told me he wasn't lying, but my past tells me otherwise. All guys are like him.
"I don't know that," I whispered. I was barely audible, but he still heard me. He suddenly pulled me in for a hug. my body stiffened at the embrace, but soon relaxed.
"You wanna talk about it?" he asked quietly.
I shook my head no and we stayed like that. After a comfortable silence, he eventually spoke.
"Cristole whatever-your-middle-name-is Lloyd, I have made it my mission to know the real you."
Shoot me now please.
