A shriek echoed throughout the forest.

Carl quickly spun around, tugging at Rick's hand to go help whoever the cause was. Everyone stared at rick as if we were all asking for his approval.

'Dad! Come on!' Carl nagged, the person shrieked again causing rick to give up.

'Okay fine!' Rick growled, running towards the source with Carl, Sophie, Dani, Luke and Myself running behind him, everyone else trailing behind.

'Help me! Please!' The man yelled, scooting back as far as he could on the boulder. Carl shot at a walker, hitting it in the shoulder and making the rest of the walkers turn to us, Luke plunged a knife into a walkers head it falling to the ground in a pool of black gunge.

Within a matter of seconds the rest of the walkers were dead and the man climbed down from the boulder thanking us all, and that's when I realised...he was a priest.

'Thank you. Thank you so much friends. I am Gabriele.' He shook our hands.

'Well Gabriele where are your weapons? Why didn't you have any?'

'The only protection I need is the power of Christ.'

"Sure as hell didn't look like it." Me and my dad said in sync, high giving each other.

"Do you have any food? Any water? I haven't eaten in days..."

"I've got some pecans left." Carl said, pulling them out of his pocket and holding them out to Gabriele.

"Thank you." He said

"Maybe I'm just leading you all to nowhere, maybe there is no church, maybe I'm just trying to steal your squirrels..."

Everybody sent anonymous glares at Gabriele, he backed away slightly when rick circled him, stuttering in his sentence.

"I'm sorry my friends did always say I had a rather dry sense of humour."

'It's fine..." Rick said "as long as you don't steal our squirrels."

The church came to view in the distance, I ran towards it to kill the two walkers that were banging on the door, but that was when I realised...they weren't walkers.

"Hey!" I yelled "Hey you! Back away or I'll shoot!"

"Michael?" A voice said from behind me, I turned around to look at Sophie and dropped my gun to my side. She ran straight to him, they hugged each other so tight, I was happy for her.

"Lydia?" The other boy asked, I looked closer and the boy who's face was coated in walker blood was Connor.

"Connor!" I yelled, running towards him and jumping into his arms.

"I've missed you so much." He muttered against my neck

"I missed you too little man." I laughed ruffling his hair

"Hey don't mess up my hair!" He defended himself

"You did that yourself." I shrugged with a smirk skipping towards the front of the church.

Everybody else followed behind me, with their weapons held in front of them in case of some sort of attack. The church was clear and safe...It was definitely too good to be true...

"There's no food here..." Gabriele scratched his head "I've cleared out every place near by, I was rather fortunate at the start I was trapped here just after the annual food drive, the only place I haven't cleaned out is the one place all of the food was supposed to go."

"Well if we need more food" Carl suggested "we should start there."

Me, Carl, Connor, Michael, Sophie and Dani had all been told to stay back, along with tyreese and Judith. So we all decided to explore the church, we split off in pairs, Sophie going with Michael, me going with Carl and Connor going with Dani.

"So." Carl said, grabbing my hand and holding it in his, running his thumb along the ring he'd given to me.

"So." I repeated him

"I was thinking, since we're engaged...and we're staying at a church, we could...get married?"

"Carl Grimes. Are you asking me to officially marry you?" I fake gasped

"Yes." He smirked "Yes I am."

"So Lydia Dixon... Will you be my lawfully wedded wife?"

"Yes...Carl Grimes will you be my lawfully wedded husband?'

"Yes. I now pronounce us married, I will most definitely kiss my bride."

He smirked, pressing his lips to my own, I could've honestly said it was the happiest moment of my life, Carl was mine until I'd meet my unfortunate end, that I was positive would come soon.

"Forever." Carl whispered, pressing his forehead against my own.

"Wanna go for a walk lover boy?" I smirked, twirling around.

"Sure. Let's go explore!" Carl chucked, running ahead of me and out of the church doors.

"Hey!" I yelled "wait up!"

I ran directly into Carl's back when I turned the corner, I was covered in dust and just lay on the floor shocked.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked, standing up and dusting myself off.

"Look." Carl pointed, something had been carved into the wood on the outside of the church, along with the scratches of a knife on the window pane.

"You'll burn in hell for this." I read out

Hours had passed by and my dad and carol had disappeared, I was beginning to get more and more worried, I couldn't lose another parent. Not again.

"You okay?" Luke asked throwing a arm around my shoulders.

"I'm fine, it's just...we only jut got dad back...I can't lose him again."

"Remember. No matter what me and the rest of your family will always be here, I'll always be here sissy, and don't you forget that."

"Thanks Luke" I smiled, continuing to stir my chilli around in my bowl. I couldn't eat anything it all kept coming back up, I guess I was just scared for my dad. I couldn't let him go. Not yet. Not ever.
