chemo pt 1

my nurse comes in holing a new iv bag

"hey sweetie im gonna unhook your iv bag for a bit an im gonna help you take a shower and make sure your wounds are healing right " she says

I nod and she unhooks my drip turning it on 0 and she helps me to the edge of my bed and helps me stand making sure to hold me as I weakly walk to the bathroom with this nurse attatched to me she helps me sit and use the restroom then stand and helps me decloth myself and take off the bandaids making sure everything is okay then she helps me in the shower holding onto me making sure my wounds don't get too wet soon shes helping me out and into fresh clean pj shorts and a loose tanktopmaking sure to patch up my wounds my legs feel more stable so I walk without assistance to my bed and lay back down she hooks my iv back up and adds the new bag and helps me put my oxygen back on

"this is antinausea medicine you start chemo 5am so were doing little by little now so hopefully you don't get sick" the nurse says I nod and she leaves I turn on the tv and its on the news I see photos of the crash and leave it

I nod and lay my head down feeling dizzy and wanting sleep im soon falling into a deep sleep

I don't dream but im glad I don't I cant handle seeing my sweet boys faces right now I wake up at 5 to the nurse coming in to start the chemo

"do you wanna stay in bed or move to the recliner" she asks
"recliner please " I say an I move there slowlybut surely I make it to the recliner I make sure to grab my camera and laptop and phone I get compy and she hooks my iv to the wheeled pole and I watch as she attatchs the bag of chemo drugs she cleans the port in my chest and god I can taste it in my mouth then she hooks up the bag an smiles at me

"call if you need me sweetie ill be back to check on you" she says I nod and open my phone and take a selfie and post it on Instagram snapchat and twitter labled first day of chemo lets fight this shit hard
