Pj day!!

I close my eyes and see him with the gun I decide I will go ahead and head to the store and get some treats for tomorrow I slip out of bed and out of Raymonds hold and slide on his sweatpants seeing as I'm wearing a tank top that says teacher hair don't care I grab my phone purse and keys and write a note for Raymond
Couldn't sleep nightmares went to the store for some stuff for school btw tomorrow is pj day if you didn't get the announcement

I slide on my slides and walk out the door locking it back I get in my gwagon and think maybe I should get another car and save this for special occasions I rarely use the mini van so maybe I'll get like a sedan or Oo I saw a Nissan Leaf the other day and I liked it maybe I'll get that I head to the local Walmart since it's 11 pm most everywhere is closed by now I get out go in and grab a cart I collect things slowly grabbing some cute pjs for Raymond for tomorrow since he doesn't own any really and I get some cute slippers for both of us then I pick out a big box of foldfish and a cake for the kids and I spot miss harley
"Hey miss Harley" I say smiling at her
"Hey miss kat what are you doing up" she asks
"Couldn't sleep so I decided to get things for tomorrow since it's pj movie game day" I said
"Me too honestly I saw a lot of the other teachers here getting things the kindergarten teachers are gonna do leaning games are you doing some to" she asks
"Yep I'm getting goldfish and m&ms and skittles I also have to watch how much sugar I get I get a new student tomorrow he has diabetes" I say and she nods
"I have one too his mom gave me a list of snacks he can have " she says
"Same" I say pulling out the list gabes mom gave me earlier
"He can have grapes and strawberries okay I think I'll get thoose for him it says to avoid candy as much as possible" I say
"Yeah you don't want his blood sugar spiking too high" she says nodding
"Yeah anyway I gotta get going you have a great night" I say and she says the same I get grapes for Gabe and grab mini water bottles and juice pouches then I go to the games and movies picking out a couple new releases that are rated g and pg and I pick out some more games then head to checkout and home once I'm home I bring everything in and out the fridge stuff in there so it's cold and grab my laptop off the counter and sit on the couch I decide to look at cars and make a couple more games for tomorrow and cut out things too I make a jeopardy game and a kaboot game as well as a family fued game for the kids I send links to my school computer and make a couple paper games and bingo cards that are colors letters and animals then I decide to look at cars I go to the nissan website and look at diffrent styles then decide on the Nissan Leaf which is a cross between a sedan and a suv I order it and smile as it will be here by tomorrow seeing as I don't live far from the dealership then I drift from the couch to the laundry room starting a load then switching it when it's time I look at the clock and it's 2 am I should nap now for school I turn on friends on the tv and lay down I fall asleep dreaming of happy things then I wake up at 5 when Raymond wakes me
"I got you pjs they are fon the table with some new slippers I say getting up an yawning as I go to change into my pjs for school I choose a adult onesies that is stitch and slide on the new socks and slippers I got then I grab my phone and purse heading to the living room Lisa hands me a breakfast sandwich and I smile she hands me a new cup that looks like a crayon but it says miss kat and it's sparkly rose gold and it has a straw Oo I hug her and eat the sandwich and take the drink with me as I see Raymond is ready in his new pjs which is a when is the Pooh onesie he had that or a pair of blue plaid pants and a blue shirt that said eat sleep video games Lisa helps us load up the car and she takes the mini van to help us at the school too when we get there she signs in and helps us carry everything to the room and I set up the tables how I want them and login making sure the games are all their which they are I have all the bingo cards and number sheets set too yay Raymond and I start setting up some things and there's a knock on the door
I look up and see my mom and the principal
"Miss kat mr Raymond we have come to let you know there will be a assembly this morning at 8:30 so we will need you to bring your kids to the auditorium" she says
"Okay ma'am mom why are you here" I ask
"It's part of the assembly the super entwendend and cheif of police are here too your pjs are so cute and aw sugar your wearing your new ones" my mom says seeing sugar in her doggy pjs with tiny jars of peanutbutter on them and her service dog vest she isn't wearing her leash right now seeing as she doesn't need to for her job she's very well trained
"That's so cute" the principal says
"Wanna see her do something cool" I say exited knowing my mom hasn't seen this yet I go to the bored and look at sugar
"Miss sugar maker please" I say she goes to my desk and picks up a purple marker in her mouth and brings it to me then sits next to me and I write the date on the bored
"Aw sugar good job" my mom say and Raymond brings her a treat
"Good work miss sugar" principal says they leave and tell all the other teachers Raymond and I finish our set up and I smile soon our kids are arriving Gabe is first HES in dinosaur pjs
"Hi miss kat I heard what happened yesterday are you allright" his mom Sams worried
"I'm just fine luckily everyone is would you like to see where you sit Gabe" I ask and he nods looking excited I see the pump attracted fo his side and I smile his mom gives Raymond a extra set of insulin for when he needs it and asks why there's cups bowls plates and snacks out then I explain it's a class party basically since everyone handled the emergency so well and I got Gabe grapes and some other things with less sugar in them and she thanked me then more kids arrive and I notice Shelby is in a onesie too and so are a few other kids soon we line up the kids for the assembly I make sure I have my badge and I realise we are the last class getting there well dang when we get there we get the kids seated and I sit with Raymond in the teachers section and the principal stephenie starts
"Hello students and teachers it's good to see you all back after yesterday this morning we have a few guests today regarding what happened yesterday and we have supprises for every grade level because of how great you all were now let me introduce our guests we have mayor saville governor saville officer droopy and super entendant Jordan now we would like to invite three very special teachers up on stage who we are immensely proud of first we have mr Raymond he helped sound the silent alarm to let us know that someone who was dangerous was in the building" she says Raymond goes up on stage and shakes everyone's hand and stands on the left of the principal
"Next we have the last two the school's favorite duo miss kat and miss sugar miss sugar kept students calm and quiet while keeping them protected and making sure not a single one uttered a sound then as everyone was meeting miss kat we got to watch her in action and help miss kat sit and make sure she got her medicine and miss kat our beloved miss kat who saved us all in the tracks of a tragedy she risked her and her babies life to save all of ours and we couldn't be prouder" she says I stand with sugar and walk across stage shaking hands and sugar sits and shakes everyone's hands too which was awesome
"Now we will hear from the mayor and governed and a supprise from the super entendant" the principal says as she switches spots with my mom and my mom starts to speak
"Firstly I would like to say I'm proud of all of you you all worked hard together and protected one another and that saved countless lives and I would like to thank you all for being so incredibly brave and I know your parents are proud of you too" she says and my uncle is next
"Thank you Kat I'm proud of you okay I know your used to being bashful but you saved pepole okay and the whole family and the whole state even the whole country is proud of you now mr Raymond I'm also proud of you and would like to thank you for your quick action and smart thinking you and all the other teachers protected your students and thankfully no one was harmed now students thank you all for being brave and strong yesterday now I know you all range from 4 to 14 and I have to say all of you made your state and country proud you showed leadership and listening skills as well as your ability to be quiet and work together to stay safe we are all proud of you and I want you to remember this you are all important kind smart and bueatiful and I'm proud to call you the next generation" he says and the super intendent is up next
"Now I get the fun job oh behalf of the state we have a supprise for each grade level every grade level is going on a free field trip in the next 2 weeks so I'm going to announce them from 8th grade to kindergarten so 8th grade you all are going toooo six flags since you are studying physics and your teachers will teach you about the physics of a roller coaster before your trip on the 17th 7th grade and 6th grade you all are going on a trip tooo the art museum since you all are learning about slavery and they have a slavery exhibit currently on the 16th 5th grade you all are going to the fernbank where you can learn all about dinosaurs and things like that on the 15th 4th grade you all will be going to the state capital and getting to tour it and learn all about our states history on the 14th 3rd grade you all will be going to sweet water state park to learn about the trail of tears and the march of Sherman and visit there museum on the 10th 2nd grade and 1st grade you all will be going to the children's museum 2nd grade will be going on the 9th 1st grade will be going on the 8th and last but certainly not least kingergarden we have an extra special trip for you since you are known as the animals at school you all will be going on the 7th to the zoo and the aquarium to learn about all the diffrent types of animals and everyone when you go to theese places it will only be your class their seeing as all the places your visiting wanted to give back to our brave students and teachers at our school and we have a final supprise your principal asked to announce" the super entendant says honestly I'm allready shocked we get to go to the zoo and aquarium that's awesome all in one day too I'm so excited
The principal comes back up andstsrts talking
"I got a call this morning from the leader at the world of coke and they are treating us all to a school wide field trip to the world of coke on the 13th so you all have to make sure you are on your best behavior so we can all go ive spoken to everyone and lunch is included on on the feild trips and miss Jenny will be bringing by the permission slips to all the classrooms you have to bring back your slips signed by a parent or garfish to go okay" she says
"Yes miss Stephane" everyone says back soon were all headed back to our classrooms we get them back and to their seats and I decide to talk with the class then play some games i sit on my stool in the front with my podium and smile
"So kids are we all happy and okay with being back at school" I ask
"Yes miss Kar" I got back
"I'm glad now I want you to raise your hand if your excited for our feild trips" I say and every hand shoots up
"Well I'm glad now I'm gonna start a list of pepole who can't go if they are bad so we all have to be on our best behavior so we can all go okay" I say getting up and putting no feild trips for and leave some space and put it in a box
"Now are their any questions" I ask
A few hands raise
"Yes billy" I ask
"What's a permission slip" he asks
"A permission slip is a piece of paper we give your parents that asks if it's okay to take you on the class trip" I say and he nods I call on Abby
"How will we get to the field trip miss kat" she asks
"We are all gonna ride the bus there yes ally" I say happily
"Can I talk to you in the hall miss kat" alt asks neeveslt
I nod an notion for Raymond fo take over the classroom and take ally's hand going to the hall
"What is it ally" I ask
"My daddy asked me to talk to you in private he said to tell you thank you and to give you a big hug for saving me" she says and hugs me her mom talked to me yesterday her dad is deployed and her and her little brother are the only family they have left after a house fire at her grandparents house
"Well tell your daddy I say thank you so very much for giveing me such a smart girl to teach now how about we go back in and we can play games and maybe watch a movie" I suggest and she agrees I was warned about ally when she was tested to see how far she was mentally she scored 5th grade level the school system wanted to put her in 5th grade but her mother asked for her to be in kindergarten because she wanted to develop her social skills then when she had the proper social skills she could move up to challenge her so we give ally work She finishes fast then I told her she could read a book or work on a project ally likes reading so yeah
We go back in and ally sits down at her table
"Okay now do we wanna play family fude Jeopardy Kahoot or bingo" I ask
The kids shout out family fude now your probably wondering what it is it's basically a memory game for the kids in a way
"Okay first up we have ally and we have Trent please come stand up here" I say Raymond gets me the 2 buzzers I bought yesterday an pulls up the game on my computer we play a few rounds and the kids are all laughing and smiling then we go to bingo soon miss Olivia knocks on the door and asks if we're going to the cafeteria for lunch
"Raise your hand if you'd like to go to the cafeteria for lunch then come back for a movie" I say everyone raised their hands
"I guess so" I laugh she tells me I should order pizza now if I'm going to and I nod grabbing my wallet and phone and sit at my desk lets see 20 kids 2 adults I'll get 6 large pizzas and have them cut to 8 pieces Thats 48 pieces so enough for everyone to have 2 pieces plus I'll have 4 extra I know gabes mom said he could have pizza we just have to make sure to take him to the nurse afterwards for insulin I decide 3 pepperoni and 3 cheese are good and order them asking for them to be delivered to the front office Raymond gets the plates napkins gloves and juice boxes and water bottles and packs enough for everybody for lunch and I ask if anyone brought their lunch they all raise their hands I tell them to grab there lunchbox and let's head to the cafiteria I asked all the parents to only send sides with the kids since we're getting pizza hopefully they remembered I get a call since we're lining up
J: miss kat can you come to the front office please to sign for your pizza
K: oh yay yes miss Jenny I'll be right there
Raymond leads the kids to the cafiteria while I go to the office with sugar she sits next to me as I sign for the pizza and take it miss Olivia and miss Harley and lily do the same but their classes are waiting patiently in the hall to go to the cafiteria
"Did you remember plates" I ask the other teachers
"Yes" Harley says
"Yes" Olivia says
"I knew I forgot something" Miss Lilly says
"Don't worry i got extra plates Lilly and gloves if you need them" I say smiling at the girl that's my age as we walk with hot pizza to the cafiteria I notice I ordered the most pizzas out of kindergarten hm okay Raymond and I pass out pizza to all our kids then sit at the table with the teachers I set up sugars lunch and let her eat then grab a piece of pizza for myself and start munching on the cheese goodness
"I think you ordered too much" miss Olivia says
"I wasn't sure I wanted to be prepared" I say
"The kids usually only eat one slice each but you do have the biggest class so I don't blame you for ordering extra" miss Olivia says
"It doesn't hurt to have extra pizza that just means I don't have to cook dinner" I say shrugging"
"I still have to no matter if I ordered extra jace jr hates pizza" she says
"How can you hate pizza" Raymond asks
"He doesn't like the sauce he will only eat cheese bread or pasta" she says
"That's diffeent" miss Olivia says
We all chat then head back to our classrooms with our classes I ask the kids to vote on what movie we watch they could choose lelo and Stich bueaty and the beast cars or finding Nemo finding Nemo one I worked on my computer as the kids watched the movie then Raymond comes back with Gabe and gabe takes his seat as the movie starts and Raymond comes to my desk and asks what I'm doing and I show him Im writing emails and prepping some things for our feild trip I thought would be fun there's a knock on the door and I go to answer it it's miss Jenny and miss Stephane so I step into the hall
"Sorry my kids are watching a movie I don't wanna disturb them" I smile
"Aw what movie" miss Stephane says
"They choose finding Nemo" I say
"That's a great one" Jenny says
"Oh here are the class feild trip forms for the world of coke and the zoo and aquarium with details of everything and here is your itinerary for the trips oh and gabes mother needs to fill this out for the trips and so do you also you need to pick 3-5 chaperones for both trips " miss Stephane says handing me papers
"Do I need chaperone forms too" I ask
She nods and hands them to me
"Oh I was wondering could I Do a scavenger hunt with the kids on the trip to the zoo and aquarium like make sheets for the chaperones and the kids where they have to find the animals exhibit and take a photo of the kids in front of it" I ask
"I think it's a great idea let's ask miss Olivia if all kind geraden should do it" Stephane says going to miss olivaas door and knocking she hands her the same papers saying the same thing then asking if she likes the idea of the scavenger hunt
"I like it then it helps when we do the all about my year books we talked about kat" she says nodding
"All about my year" miss Stephane asks
"Miss Kat had an idea to document the kids through kindergarten and then at the end of the year give the kids a book filled with photos and things they did through the year so they have something to remember it by" miss Olivia says
"I love that idea I knew you were a great addition to our team" miss Stephane says hugging me
"I need to get back to my kids if that's allright" I say and they agree Olivia needs to get back to hers too I go back in the room and put a kids name on each permission slip and add gabes medical form to his slips and I fill out my form and put it in a binder and label it feild trip leaving space for the permission forms I send miss Olivia and the other kindergarten teachers a copy of the animal check list I made with directions and a spot for the chaperones to put all the kids names then I grab 6 clipboards let's see if I split 20 6 ways that is 3 to 4 pepole a group if I split it 4 ways that is 5 pepole a group and if i split it 5 ways its 4 a group  so I'll get 4 other chaperones that way we have 5 groups Raymond will be with me and Gabe will be in our group for sure unless his mom is a chaperone the movie finishes and we count goldfish and M&m as and eat them except Gabe he counts grapes and strawberries Raymond checks his insulin pump and it's okay then we talk about the feild trip and what we will see then it's time to go I grab the permission slips and stand at the door with sugar as parents come to collect their kids all the parents ask if they can sit for a minute here and read it then give it back to me I say yes and I explain to gabes mom she needs to fill out the medical okay form for the feild trip giving her contact info for that a few parents ask if they can be chaperones and I have exactly 4 chaperones callies mom trents mom Shelby's mom and ally's mom says either her or her husband will do it explains HES coming home Monday and is going to supprise her at school and asks if I'll help which I agree I get all the permission flips back and give the parents the itinerary that includes the feild trip rules what time we leave and chaperones should be here and what the kids should wear everyone leaves and I head to the office while Raymond packs up things I knock on miss Stephane's door
"Yes miss kat" she says looking up at me
"Do you need copies of my signed permission slips" I ask
"Yes I do actually wait how do you have all them signed allready" she asks
"The parents asked if they could sit and read them for a second saying they trusted me with their kids and they'd love for them to go to the zoo and aquarium" I say shruging
"That's impressive did you get gabes medical form" she asks
"Yes ma'am and mine I allready made you copies Stampfer them as cookies and put collies in my filing cabinet the originals are in my binder and I scanned them into the computer" I say yawning a little
"You amaze me sometimes kat" she says nodding and taking the papers
"I'm off now miss Stephane I have feild trip Badges to make" I say skipping meeting Raymond at the classroom I gather sugar my cup purse and some bags as Raymond grand the rest and the leftover pizza an d we head to the car load everything in and I drive home once we pull up we unload and Lisa helps then a knock is at the door and I answer
"I'm looking for a miss kat smith" he says
"That's me" I say
"Can I see your lisence please to sign for your new car and please come look at it" he says and I see it outside I nod handing him my lisence and he hands it back I go out and see my new car it's perfect I check and everything looks good and so I sign for it my mom comes over and comes in confirmed
"Who's car is that outside" she asks
"Mine i got a new one" I say shrugging
"Why" she asks
"Mini van is too big to take to school every day gwagon is too flashy Nissan Leaf is perfect for every day use" i day shrughing she agrees and then we talk about tomorrow and she says she needs to head back and I start making little name tags I pull them up on the tv as I cast it from my laptop to the tv and Lisa and Raymond help me pick which ones best we choose s Badge I made that says their name grade whos class and it has little Dino's on it I print them all including ones for chaperones then I decide I need the things to make them necklaces so I decide we must go to the store and Lisa informs me I have to meet the cast and have a table read for steel magnolias tonight and we will be leaking the announcemenf of the remake tonight so I quickly put on a light blue dress that goes to the floor and put on a blonde wig I have styled and light makeup then we get in the Nissan Leaf and head to joannes my favorite craft store I get protective pockets for the name badges and some yarn and ribbon in a few diffeent colors for their name badges and then we head to the table read at a ballroom down town we get there and park and make sure sugar is with me as her Raymond Lisa and i cross the street to the building the ballroom is in we go in and I'm hugged by Mathew Rachel and tommy and they introduce me to my cast memebers and some of the original cast they get a photo of us all together first they see if the boy playing Jackson and I have chemistry and it's like acting with a stick I swear so Mathew calls us over and Raymond he asks if Raymond could try before we decide to recast and we try it with him and he is way better so the old guy gets moved to truvs son they hadn't cast him yet so it works out perfectly we do a good table read then we talk about when we start shooting next Monday after school I need to come in for shooting and then next weekend as well we'll be shooting simple scenes first they added some scenes to get more of the Shelby southern belle feel soon we head home and I look at the clock 11 pm allready we eat leftover pizza them I go to bed curled up with Raymond I take up to someone shaking me
