Chaos lead me through the maze of the palace until finally bringing me into a small room that branched off from one of the many main halls (Chaos said this hall was like, the Bronze Hall or something. Seriously, who names all of their halls?). The room was lined with bunk beds on one side and what looked like a high-tech TV and couch on the other side, along with a couple of bookshelves.

"This will be your dorm. Your dorm mates will be like your family. I do believe they are all out training, but they should be back soon. I have notified them of your arrival, so they will know who you are. In the meantime, feel free to read or use the TV" I nodded along with Chaos' words. It was a lot to take in at once, but I was used to that sort of thing anyway, what with the whole demigod thing.

Chaos turned to leave but stopped halfway through the door. He turned back around towards me, something I couldn't quite place glinting in his eyes.

"And Percy?" He said, locking eyes with me.

"Yeah," I said, nonchalantly.

"Welcome home"

I sighed, peeling the sweat and blood soaked shirt off of me.

"Petra, I need to talk to you" The Commander of Chaos' army and the elite team I was on, Ethan or Alpha said. As the thrid-in-command, I was in no position to argue, but I didn't feel like talking, so I just ignored him.

"Petra" Alpha says again. I sigh and turn back around to face him.

"What?" I asked, annoyed. Alpha took a deep breath.

"Petra, I've noticed how cut off you've been from the team, so today we are having a team-building exercise-" He started.

"A what now?" I interrupted. Alpha ignored him.

"Chill, it's just a movie, Avengers to be specific, with the team. C'mon, it'll be fun" Alpha smiled. I was not amused.

"Fine," I said begrudgingly.

I followed Alpha out to the living room where the rest of the team sat. I wasn't sure how I felt about this whole team-building exercises. On our team was Ethan, the first-in-command, Alpha of course, who was fine, but I wasn't sure about the rest. There was Kladisa, the second-in-command, whose codename was ice, Luke Castellan (yeah, he got into Chaos' army, the little shit) whose codename was Dagger, Gerdis, whose codename was Hunter, Lillis, whose codename was Yerilas (A word from her native language of Kerisian) and Alexander, who's codename was Pen (don't ask). They were all nice enough, but I didn't trust anyone. I didn't even trust them with my identity.

"Okay everyone, time to start the movie," Ethan said, starting up movie.

After the movie ended and the others had stopped arguing about the character development of Loki, Ethan turned to me.

"So, Petras, how was your old life?" Ethan asked.

"What?" I did a double-take.

"Oh come on, you musta left someone behind in your old life. Who was it? A sibling? A parent? Or maybe" Ethan said with a mischievous grin, "a girlfriend".

I immediately got up and ran down the hallway, away from Ethan, away from my team, and away from the question that haunted, repeating in my brain, tormenting me, taunting me.

I ran through the maze of corridors, finally collapsing in Bronze Hall, near my old dorm and curled up into a ball, my back to the wall. I tried to steady my breathing, but I just couldn't do it. Memories flashed through my mind, memories of betrayal, memories of a happier time. My breathing became unsteady and the world seemed to spin and my vision was blurring and oh Chaos please someone help me...

After about a half-hour, my breathing started to steady and I calmed down enough to think again. It was my fault I was in the place I was. It was my fault that Annabeth had cheated on me. It was my fault I had been thrown into Tartarus.

And it was my fault I was dead.
