Episode 6 "I Delivered You"

Very early the next morning, Halstead is standing beside Shaylynn's Lamborghini waiting for her jet to land.
He watches as it lands and makes it's way over to where he is.
After it finally stops, the steps are lowered and he sees Shaylynn standing at the top waiting to walk down with Damon behind her.
When they've walked down the steps they start walking over to Halstead as he walks toward them.
"I'll take her bag," Halstead tells Damon.
Damon hands it over, "I'll see you in a couple of days," he tells Shaylynn then heads back over to the jet.
"You're taking full advantage of me not being home to drive my Lamborghini, aren't you?" Shaylynn says smiling at him as they walk over to the car.
"Of course I am," he says moving closer to her pushing her back against the car.
He starts kissing her passionately.
Shaylynn pulls her head back and smiles, "I need to go away more often," she tells him.
They both get in the car and drive off.
Halstead starts speeding through the streets of Chicago, "What's the rush?" Shaylynn asks.
"Everyone should still be asleep when we get home," Halstead says giving her a shitty grin as she starts laughing.

Three hours later, Halstead and Shaylynn are standing in the kitchen making breakfast, kissing each other every minute as though nothing happened the day before when Shaylynn's phone rings.
"Hello," she says.
"Guess who's having a Christmas Day baby?" she hears Beth say.
Shaylynn starts laughing, "Oh, that's so cool! Is everything alright?" she asks.
"Yeah, perfect!" Beth tells her.
"What are you doing right now?" Shaylynn asks him.
"We're just leaving Med," Beth says.
"Come over here for breakfast," Shaylynn says.
"What are we having?" she hears Severide yell.
Shaylynn laughs, "The full works! Jay's hungry."
"We'll be there in fifteen minutes," Shaylynn hears Severide tell her.
Shaylynn hangs up as she sees a look on Halstead's face, "What's wrong with you?" she asks him.
"Beth will eat everything," he tells her smiling as Shaylynn elbows him in the ribs, "Ouch!" he lets out.

Fifteen minutes later, Shaylynn lets Beth and Severide through the gate.
As Shaylynn and Halstead wait for them, they lay everything out on the kitchen counter.
Five minutes later, they're walking into the kitchen with Beth's eyes lighting up, "Oh my God! You're killing me right now!" she says looking at all the food on the island as Shaylynn hands her a plate, "Thank you!" Beth says as she takes the plate.
"You're welcome!" Shaylynn says as Beth starts to fill her plate with Halstead looking on.
"Hey, leave some for us!" Halstead tells Beth.
Shaylynn glares at him, "You leave her alone! She's eating for two!" she tells him.
"Two what? Hippos?" Halstead asks lifting an eyebrow as he continues to watch Beth.
Kelly laughs, "You'd better run!"
"I'm not running anywhere! But I'll lick everything so you can't have any Jay Halstead!" Beth says glaring at him as Shaylynn laughs.
"Where's Jacquelyn?" Beth asks as she continues to fill her plate.
"In the garden and the boys are taking a nap before you ask," Shaylynn tells her.
They all sit down to eat.
As Halstead and Severide talk about the helicopter Severide's getting, Shaylynn and Beth, look at shoes on Shaylynn's iPad as Beth asks her about her weekend job out in Vegas.
"I need a new pair of boots before I start out there," Shaylynn tells Beth.
"What are you doing? It's not as if you need the money," Beth says.
"I'm not going to tell you. So ask me a little later," Shaylynn says.
"Can I ask you in five minutes?" Beth asks smiling.
"Sometimes you're such a dumbass!" Shaylynn says laughing, "If you must know, I'll be providing security for Bruno Mars."
Beth nods, then looks back at the iPad, "I really need a new pair of black Louboutin's."
"Why don't we hit the shops tomorrow?" Shaylynn says to her.
"It's a date! I need to get some maternity stuff also," Beth says.
"I talked to Hank, he said those two idiots from the bar had hangovers from hell the next morning," Shaylynn says laughing as beth starts to laugh.
"Oh my God, that's what they get! That reminds me, I need to get Herrmann a new TV," Beth says as Jacquelyn runs into the kitchen spotting Beth.
"Auntie Beth!" Jacquelyn yells.
"Hey, give me a hug!" Beth tells her.
Jacquelyn runs over to Beth throwing her arms around her neck, Beth kissing her on the cheek.
"Where's my hug squirt?" Severide asks Jacquelyn.
"You don't call me squirt no more!" Jacquelyn tells him as Beth starts to laugh.
Severide smiles, "I'm sorry, what would you like me to call you?"
"Jacquelyn! That's my name and don't you forget it!" she tells Severide.
"Oh my God! She's your daughter alright!" Beth says looking at Shaylynn.
"Okay, Penelope!" Severide says making Jacquelyn laugh, "You know I delivered you so I should be able to call you whatever I want!" he tells her, "Now give me a hug or I won't tell you what your Auntie Beth and I have at our house."
Jacquelyn moves closer to him, "What?" she asks as she gives him a hug.
"A huge play area with a ball pit! It's so cool!" Severide tells her.
"Can I see?" Jacquelyn asks looking at Shaylynn who starts laughing.
"I want to see it! I suppose you and Kelly have been in it?" Shaylynn asks with a smirk on her face.
"No, not yet! I have enough problems with one pair of balls!" Beth tells her.
Severide's eyes get huge at Beth's remark as he spits out his coffee sending it down his shirt as Halstead laughs at him.
"Jay, get him some paper towels," Shaylynn tells him laughing.
Severide looks at Beth, "Babe! It's all down my white shirt!" he expresses.
Beth starts laughing, "Sorry," she says.
"It better come out," Severide tells her.
"Take it off, I'll put it in the washer," Shaylynn tells him.
"Oh yeah! Take it off!," Beth says smiling, "Take it all off!" she says as she and Shaylynn laugh.
"It's on my skirt too!" Jacquelyn says looking at Shaylynn.
"You're fine," Shaylynn tells her.
Severide looks at Shaylynn, "It's fine, I'll change when I get home."
Beth looks at Jacquelyn, "Why don't you come to my house tomorrow and play with Ellie and Rosie. Your Mommy and I are going shoe shopping."
Jacquelyn looks at Beth confused, "Shoe shopping! Oh no! My Mommy has too many shoes and she tells Daddy she's had them for ages! That way Daddy doesn't get mad!" she says as Beth laughs.
"It's a think ladies say all the time. I do it with cars!" Beth tells Jacquelyn.
Severide glares at Beth, "I'm checking that garage when we get home!" he tells her as Halstead hands him some paper towels, "Thanks!" he tells him then starts wiping his shirt.
"So bring Jacquelyn over tomorrow and leave her at ours while we go out," Beth tells Shaylynn.
Severide looks at Beth, "I was gonna play golf tomorrow with Matt," he tells her as Halstead's ears perk up.
"That's fine," Beth tells him.
"Golf?" Halstead questions.
"You want to join us?" Severide asks him.
"Sure, I'll dig out my clubs!" Halstead tells him.
"Are you not working?" Severide asks.
"No, I have two days furlough," Halstead says.
"Me too," Severide tells him.

The next day, Shaylynn, Halstead, and Jacquelyn head to the Severide's.
Driving up the driveway Shaylynn sees Casey is already here.
Shaylynn gets out of the car as Halstead gets out and helps Jacquelyn out.
Walking up to the door, Shaylynn opens it to hear Beth talking, "They're late!" she says.
"No, we're not!" Shaylynn tells her catching Beth by surprise.
"How did you get through the gate?" Beth asks her.
"It's Shaylynn you're talking about!" Halstead reminds Beth.
Severide looks at Jacquelyn, "Jacquelyn! Is that your name?" he asks as Shaylynn laughs at him.
"Yes! Where's the playroom?" she asks then looks at her parents, "Bye Mommy! Bye Daddy!" she says.
Shaylynn looks at Beth, "It started to rain big time out there!"
"That's okay, it won't be raining inside Macy's!" Beth says smiling.
"And I've counted your shoes, Shaylynn!" Halstead tells her as Shaylynn starts laughing at him.
"Really? Have you been in the secret shoe room?" she asks him with a smirk on her face.
Halstead gets a confused look on his face, "What secret shoe room?" he asks her.
Shaylynn sticks her tongue out at him.
Severide shakes his head at them, "We'd better make a move," he tells Halstead and Casey.
Shaylynn walks up to Halstead and kisses him as Beth says her goodbyes to Severide.
As Shaylynn backs up from Halstead she sees Casey kiss Beth on the cheek with Beth looking over at Halstead, "Jay! Kiss me!" she tells him.
"No!" he tells her laughing as Shaylynn joins in.
"I wanna see the playroom!" Jacquelyn blurts out.
Beth looks at Jacquelyn, "Come on then, give me your hand," she tells her.
"We better be going," Severide says.
"Have fun playing golf in the rain!" Shaylynn tells the fellows.
"It won't last long," Casey tells her.

After the guys leave Beth leads Shaylynn and Jacquelyn back to the playroom where Rosie spots Jacquelyn, "JACCCCCCY!" Rosie yells running toward her smiling.
"Rosie! I've come to play with you!" Jacquelyn tells her then looks around, her eyes lighting up.
"Oh, this place is just amazing! Give me Stuarts number!" Shaylynn tells Beth, "You want one of these, Jacquelyn?"
Jacquelyn looks up at Shaylynn with huge puppy dog eyes, "Yes, please Mommy!"

By the time Shaylynn and Beth reach Macy's, the rain has stopped.
Shaylynn walks into Macy's behind Beth to her sigh out loud, "I seriously worry about you, Beth!" Shaylynn tells her.
"You know this is my happy place," Beth tells her as they walk toward the elevator.
"Oh fuck!" Shaylynn says.
"What?" Beth asks.
"Marks here with your doppelganger!" Shaylynn tells her.
"Just ignore him! Let's start at the top and work our way down! I think Maternity is on the top floor," Beth says as they wait for the elevator door to open.
"It is," Shaylynn tells her as the door finally opens.
They get on the elevator before Mark is able to see them.
Beth pushes the button for the top floor and they watch the door close.
"Do you ever think about Mark?" Shaylynn asks her.
"Do you ever think about Austin?" Beth asks her back as they both look at each other.
"Fair point!" Shaylynn tells her.
"I'm with Kelly! I love him and I'm never going to hurt him ever again!" Beth tells her.
"Okay you little shit, I'm sorry I asked," Shaylynn says as the fire alarm goes off.
"Oh, what?!" Beth questions as the elevator door opens were the ladies are met by flames and smoke.
Shaylynn quickly grabs into her bag and pulls out two masks that look like what doctors wear, handing one to Beth, "Put it on!" she tells her.
"Why do you have these for?" Beth asks as she starts to cough.
"Don't worry about it! Put it on!" Shaylynn tells her putting hers on as she pushes Beth against the elevator wall near the buttons to try and keep her away from the flames.
Pushing the emergency button on the panel, it doesn't seem to be working, "Why aren't the sprinklers going off?" Shaylynn questions, "If I only had Henry!"
"Yeah, too bad he couldn't fit into your bag!" Beth says as she starts coughing more as she makes her way down the wall.
"Beth! Beth!" Shaylynn yells at her as she holds onto her so she doesn't fall quickly.
